It also doesn't make nearly as much sense as a normal cheap fridge. Glass isn't even remotely as insulating as a normal, foam / insulation lined box.

Um….these are commercial fridges that are designed for hospitality settings.

or so you can see how much beer you have left and never run out by accident

Hospitality settings does not mean it is efficient. They are glass to encourage more sales since customers can see what you have. Insulated yes but not as efficient as regular fridges.

After spending time at a few retirement homes, I can definitively say I have no plan to live until 100 either way.

Retirement or aged care? There can be a huge difference between the two. I've seen plenty of sprightly peeps in their 90's. Mainly women but a few old lads too!
You can be fit in your 90's or knackered in your 60's (or before!). That combination of luck and effort will determine your destination. Why do I suddenly feel like a fortune cookie?

        Anyhoo, good luck!

Let's not let the word "soda" catch on. Ok. Please?

      • How about some seltzer and candy?

Would strolling down the sidewalk to the gas station or mall help?

  • Waste of electricity, horrible insulation properties. Have a glass door by all means if you desperately want to show the contents, but all sides glass loses A LOT of cooling.

  • These suck.
Have 2 of the smaller ones at work for displaying product (similar to the Coopers picture) and they don't even hold 3 slabs worth and don't get that cold. Also hard to clean.
