If only they actually gave you 12 Large with every meal

    • +5

That's just the clothes size you move to from an 8.

    • Discount meal for chicken everywhere, just wondering why?

  • +2

$12 sounds great, but once you factor in the delivery fee and service fee, it ends up being around $20

    • i just paid $14 for mine delivered

      • +3

mine is coming up around $20. How are you getting it so cheap, do you have DashPass? I don't have DashPass so that could explain why. What did you order?

        • i have dashpass, i ordered 1x "Large Grill Masters Double Cowboy Angus Value Meal" with onion rings subbed instead of fries

          • -5

@chickens: yeah you have DashPass, that's why you get it so cheap. For the rest of us without DashPass, the $12 meal will come up to at least $20

          • +1

@chickens: Doesn't DashPass only have free delivery over $20?

            • @sicaboy: It doesn't take into account the value of the cart after promotions are applied.

            • @sicaboy: if you clicked on the link you would've seen this at the bottom

Another benefit of using this is that it seems you'll be given the Canadian version of DashPass which gives you a lower $15 minimum spend (down from $20) for free delivery, and also gives you 50% off the service fee (12% -> 6%).

              • @chickens: wait is it better than au or student verison.?

I have 12% service fee afaikm

          • @chickens: Are you me? Except subbing the cola for a caramel milkshake, that's what I always order when I do this $12 deal.

        • +3

I wouldn't bother without dashpass. $24.17 for a value meal delivered for me is not a deal.

        • -1

          The deal's name is:
$12 large meals at Hungry Jack’s. With orders $25+. Use code: 12LARGE. Now - 14/7
Basically means you can't simply have your lunch under $25.

          • @sicaboy: If you actually went and tried it yourself you'd see that it does work since doordash calculates the order total for promotions based on the original value before any promotions have been applied…

So yes would be $12 + service fee assuming you have dashpass (which every OzB should already have a free unlimited subscription of)

          • +1

@sicaboy: Yeah, the way DoorDash described the deal is a little confusing. The deal actually applies if the original price of the order was over $25. So if you choose a meal that was originally $24, then upsize it and choose Onion Rings for an extra 80c so the total cost is over $25, you can use the code to bring the price of the meal to $12.

Does not work with Large Whopper® Cheese Hunger Tamers. I guess its just the basic value meals

Tried today, code is invalid. Today I WFH and now DD has done a runner.

    • Seems like they ran out of redemptions. A shame :(
