WoolWorths added to Cashrewards.

so genuine question. what does this mean?

assumption is in store prices are going to go up slightly (same as what happens with flybuys) and says Up to 4% cashback but it's always going to be 0.4% cashback for existing customers shopping at woolworths (everyday market not included).

  • Yes. That is the current CR offer.

SB has WW 15% for noobs and 0.5% for repeat offenders.

so for anyone who has signed up already roughly 40c back everytime you click through. 😂

and I am guessing prices are going up by more than that.

Why don't you ask at the next shareholders meeting?

I like they way you saved the use of capital letters for the word up.

    It really highlights the emphasis.

    • isn't that how it says it on the sign? and people often abbreviate shorten it as WW.

Yup.. Woolworths are going to jack national pricing to celebrate CR Collab🤷‍♂️
Not like they already have dynamic regional pricing or anything…

Lucky this guy is on to the scam

not sure if sarcastic or not but I have read a few times on ozb that users noticed after kmart or bunnings joined flybuys prices went slightly up and it's true as well for when coles did the same.

I think that these days you HAVE to jump through all these hoops and claim discounts otherwise you can't get the best prices/savings.

I don't shop at WW but do at coles and if I didn't claim the regular spend $50 for 4 weeks and get $50 in points and occasional 10% off a shop discount I would definitely be paying more. so you have to participate in flybuys to get those savings. also just saying but I check online beforehand and buy mostly discounted items every time I participate in those flybuys promos.

      • CR will just be a drop in their marketing bucket… more likely to steal from other incentives like x$/x% off online shop than any impact on national pricing.

ok so it’ll happen somewhere just not shelf prices. makes sense thanks.

  • Cashback is ineligible on the following:

Use of gift cards for full or partial payment.

So even if the 4% applied to returning customers, it wouldn't be a good deal.

If you have an older family member who is eligible for the senior savers or seniors card, you can use their card number + last name to get 5% off Woolworths gift cards all the time.

    https://giftcards.woolworths.com.au/member-login?memberId=50…

On top of that, the 5% off applies immediately off the purchase amount of the gift card (i.e. you pay $95 for a $100 gift card), rather than having to wait 3 months wondering if the cashback will be approved.

    • Use of gift cards for full or partial payment.

they pulled this on Amazon recently too.

I swear I have always tracked cashback with occasional purchased GC which I use slowly, until in the last few months noticed things not tracking when they should be. checked CR terms for amazon and now paying with GC makes any purchase ineligible. and I think it’s going to stay that way.
