7-Eleven Fuel Lock Discount Not Applied

Just filled up at 7 Eleven in VIC, pump price was approx 2.10, fuel locked with my chopper at 1.91 in WA.

Scanned my barcode tapped my card left the store then I realised my discount wasn't applied. I thought originally maybe the barcode wasn't processed correctly however when I check my 7-eleven app the fuel lock is gone.

Wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them, potentially it's just a one off as I've never had a problem before?

  • Not that this can help you with your current problem but i always check the price at the pump and compare at the checkout to make sure the discount has been applied.

    Have you looked at the 7-Eleven fuel lock thread?

    There are quite a few people on that forum thread that have recently reported the same problem as you. Here is one recent example.

      I'm less worried about the money for this one transaction, more curious if the method was patched. I guess locking in Perth and filling up 30 mins later is now detected easily on their system.

    Happened to me a couple of weeks ago too, had to pay full price and then i reported a missed discount through the app. They're actually sending me a gift card for the missed discount lol

    Wait for some time (at least 24 hours maybe) if you used choppers to lock the price. Otherwise your account is gonna go G09. Apparently they are now running some sort of time, distance related algorithm running between lock and redeem location.

  • Happened to me on June 26 (locked WA price for use in Sydney), and also now I am not able to login to my account after the latest app update, looks like they locked/blocked my account. Do I need to create a new account ? looks like the party is over and Costco is the savior now :)
