Quite good sale on lots of items, some clearly discounted > 90% to clear out entirely.
Spotted at Ikea Richmond today, but likely to be in your local Ikea as well.

Some items are even cheaper than the website e.g. Brandy Bowl Was $25, says $5 on website, is $2.50 in store

Wow their profit margin on items are up 9-10x

IKEA's one of the few (only?) stores whose prices hasn't skyrocketed and citing "inflation" while boasting record profits, and some items' prices going down year on year. That puts them in good standing in my books.

Are you joking? Frequent ikea customer here, prices have definitely gone up save for a few select items

        • +5

Nope. I frequent IKEA far too frequently as well. Had to furnish a whole house last year. Some stuff I bought last year has gotten cheaper this year, good to see, other remaining the same price mostly.

@lawyerz: They did a major price hike early last year on most things (flatpacks) I'm talking like a 20-30% increase…. Only a few popular items have gone down/remained same price. All the market hall stuff are pretty much loss leaders.

        • Idk man, just went to ikea today

A lot of stuff seemed cheaper or remained the same.

        • +9

Yeah agree, yes some stuff is cheaper, but the core useful ikea items (anything large, cabinets, furniture etc.) is mostly up in price IMO

If ikea had it their way they would post zero profits in Australia for the rest of their corporate lives… despicable in my eyes

many items shows available for c&c but can't check out

    Easy stack with this!!

Thank you OP for the descriptions, pictures and links! Top notch effort!

    • I started off listing every photo individually and then gave up so I don't think I deserve top notch effort but thanks haha

  • I was there today too. And half of Melbourne… damn it was busy.

    • +4

Yes that's why I took every yellow sale sign I saw so ozbargainers don't have to go in (at least in Melbourne) if they don't see anything they want haha

  • Am I the only one here that briefly thought IKEA is now doing mobile computing devices? Chair Pad sounds like an appropriate name for the store.

I wonder if this is $1 in Sydney. I’d buy $100

I’ve got to applaud the effort that went into this post 👏

  • Was at Ikea Richmond yesterday and they had a lot of different items (talking like 100+) that were anywhere from 50-90% off.

  • Thank you OP for putting this together—it's really well done!

Items says available for delivery. I browsed the entire sale (took a long time) and added 6 items to my basket. Turns out items are not available for delivery to my post code. What?!

Neg to warn others not to waste their time

    • same vibes of having an entire cart full of stuff and the code doesnt work at checkout lol

    • +1

I had the same issue. On the product page it says it was available for delivery but in the cart it says not available for delivery. I did check the cart after adding just one or two things, so that saved me some time at least, so thank you for that.

Also some of the items listed in the post are more expensive for me on the site - some were even full price - so it might be variable by location.

Went to ikea Adelaide today. The sale is totally different here. Did not see a single posted in this deal, but there were others. FYI. Thanks pro posting OP.

Seem excessively ‘frugal’ to be happy about buying 6 wine glasses for $3 instead of $8 but here I am.

  • Hi, can someone please confirm if there's still many sale items available in store?
I'm contemplating to go to the Richmond store tomorrow. Cheers

  • This is a flowon from the EOFY sale I reckon! It was 80% off and now it's 90% off. I reckon they just want it out - shelf space costs money too. Ugghh, Richmond store is almost always busy/out of stock lol. They should defs open a store around Epping and surrounding suburbs, similar to Costco.

  • Huge kudos @lawyerz for the effort in this post!! 80 pictures tell 80,000 words! :-)

Just wondering for any regulars who have a better ikea than me - are these mainly located in one clearance section in the store, or do you have to walk through the whole maze, with specials dotted throughout?

    • Thanks! They're scattered all over the marketplace level in my case.

    • Majority of them are on the marketplace floor - but you will have to walk around for each section like kitchen, textiles, lamps etc
