I was thinking for a moment that this would transform into a fully-blown car

      Why?

      • Who doesn't want their own giant robots, I mean car?

Also, I guess riffing on “MG”.

Tad expensive ngl. If it hits $45 then it's a decent price. Remember this is, despite being a Ver. Ka, quite an old kit. Basically a glorified HG kit.

RX78-2 OYW ver is where the money's at imo. Ver 2.0 is a close second while the newer PG Released comes third.

Really need to emphasise the older kit bit. There is minimal inner frame and many modern HGs actually beat this in complexity.

    • Did you mean ver 3.0 there or the 2.0? I've made the origins and 3.0 and rate both of them (maybe the origins slightly higher than the 3.0) - still yet to do any PG but the PGU RX78 is on my wishlist. (and the new RG rx78 v2 is already pre-ordered)

I meant the MG RX 78-2 ver 2.0. Ver 3.0 imo is a bit of a mess. Forgot about Origins but its frame is actually also based on the 2.0 as well so there's that. OYW ver is based on an improved ver 1.0 so people usually call it Ver 1.5.

The upcoming RG RX78-2 is the 2.0 version of the original RG RX78-2 which is based on the MG 3.0 frame. This newer RG frame is somewhat similar to the PGU.

      • I'm in the same boat.
I have PGU Rx78 unleashed in my stash.

Thinking that should be made last, after I have gone through all the RX 78 iteration. (MG, the new RG) So I can fully appreciate the exp of building the PG.

  • The only price point i would consider a CHINESE MG.
