You can use 50 x 50 pavers. Online in brisbane looks like there’s options from landscaping places from $16ish each.
I got the 40 x 40 pavers from Bunnings , x 5 to get to min weight 90kg. Iirc they were like $10 ea
So is the umbrella the only part worth $40 and the base is worth $149?

Paid an eye watering $299 in 2021 , didn’t install it till last year. I cannot recommend at $299 but at $40, with like $50 of pavers from Bunnings, I think it’s great for a bit of extra shade by the pool during summer.
Although it’s obviously designed to be outside, not that impressed with the powdercoat, the legs and and post are starting to rust up within a few months of install. Still works fine, doesn’t affect operation.
Edit: just saw the anthracite (the one I have) is now rrp $359 jfc
The cloth is also starting to break down after a couple of years. Wipe my hand on the top and it is covered in a fine powder.
IKEA cloth doesn’t last long at all
Ikea prices have been all over the place lately. Went to buy the Godmorgon washstand which was $379 online, $249 in the showroom and $76 in the warehouse. The customer service desk didn't know which price to believe.
You can also take the legs off and screw or bolt it directly to something.
Thanks for this, was considering buying it last weekend at $79 but wouldn't have fitted in the car. Came back today with a second car and bought 2 (one will be a gift for the in laws).
