Haha love the Rep style post but needs more emojis.

You forgot - We are a small Aus owned business trying to put food on the table.

    • WN, you should buy a decent watch. This would look great on you.

      Ps. Great watch.

  • I dunno, I should theoretically like that but I’m not really feeling any of them this week. This one might be my pick if I had to pick one.

    • Watch a few reviews and you won't get it. Hard to get the digital seconds to match the analogue. They go for $250-300 seconds.

This is one for all those pilots, or people wanting to go mile high.
I feel gutted i didn't see this on sale before it sold out. https://starbuy.com.au/citizen-series-8-mens-watch-nb6010-81…

    • What's soo nice about this one? 😅

      • It's a citizen challenge to the Tissot prx. The 0951 is a decent calibre.. id much prefer caliber 0950 but they are over 2k

        • +2

          I got a Series 8 with 0950 for $1.1k

          • +1

            @rosebank: Oooft from where?

            • +2

@maverickjohn: It was a one off voucher from the rep of SB's main competitor because I was giving them a hard time. Nice for them to step up. NA1010-84X

I was going to get the blinged out NB6032-53P, but copped the batman GMT last week or the week before from SB for 1.2K

I might get one more Series 8 if a nice model goes on sale, but I'm pretty happy with the 2 I have. 890 is too Royal Oak Off Shorey, so maybe a 870

  • +2

I have one of these, it's nice.

  • Still waiting for a good fugu or nice promaster

  • This watch looks like I'll have to mow it every month or so.

  • Is it perpetual calendar? For $950 it should be, but it doesn’t state.

    • Yeah.. I did not see anything about it on the official citizen page..

      • I will trawl through reviews.

I can’t be trusted to set the date each month.

    • +2

      Not perpetual calendar.

Love the Ray Mears style watch.

I have had a black face SS version for a decade, still perfect, fantastic watch, can’t justify replacing it with the titanium version.

    • +1

I don't watch Home and Away.

      • +1

Close! Have another guess, go on!

Awesome watch. I've worn it more than 5 times. I think I left it on my yacht

    • Which yacht?

      • Probably the one I left in Monte Carlo after the GP

        • +1

Ah right, I thought it might have been the one you had that party on in Nassau. Bloody supermodels, I bet one of them picked it up.

  • +1

Got one in the last sale. Top quality for this price, hardly notice your wearing it, I’ve put it through hell and it still looks new.

  • +1

It ticks all the box I want: sapphire, titanium, and day. But I also want Date.
Is that any model showing date and day?

    • Idk about Australian stock but what about Casio LCW-M100TSE-1A

Idk how you feel about Casio though. Also ana digi aesthetic ain’t for everyone. I think it’s neat.

Citizen BM8560-29E ticks your boxes too

      • +1

I've got this one and the citizen. Both awesome and quite different. $500 is an easy decision, wouldn't pay more for those UK versions.

@seniordoc If you don't know what day it is you don't need watch. I got the green titanium in the sale last year, it's fantastic, legible and the colour really pops. That case is the most comfortable watch I have (although the lineage feels like you're not wearing a watch at all).

        Thank you for your suggestions:
Citizen BM8560-29E - it seems it has leather band, but I prefer metal band
the Casio one, seems has to ordered from Japan sites. I am not sure whether radio adjustment will work in Australia
Let me just think about them.
        Thanks

        • The Casio LCW-M100T is a JDM model, so only available new from Japan. You could purchase off eBay or us any of the many 'buy from Japan' web sites. I managed to snag one in what looks like ex-shop-stock condition off Buyee.jp for close to A$150. It's still in transit so I haven't been able to enjoy it yet, but if you want to have a crack yourself visit JOMW on YouTube and click the link in the description to get a 10% off coupon when signing up to Buyee.

          • @Chazzozz: Thank you. Please feedback when you get the watch. thank you.

  • +1

I jumped on this as soon as I saw it! Love it.

  • The European and American versions comes packaged in an attractive tough box. Also, this is such a nice watch but no reviews yet from a reputed watch reviewer. I think 'Just One More Watch' is an Australian and mate if you are here can you please review this time piece of you get a chance.

    • I don’t think Jody is on here. Yes he is in Australia. He’s active on AAWF though or ask him on YouTube maybe.

    • Just get it if you like it.

      • Already bought it.

        • Awesome, i think they are great so nothing to worry about. (Worst case you could exchange etc at starbuy if in brand new condition).

        • This is extremely aesthetic

  • Sold out

  • Just received this watch. Initial observations: The build quality is very good and the monoqoque design is super cool. The watch didn't feel that much lighter as was said in many reviews but may be it is my own personal feeling. Also one thing I observed is the seconds hand doesn't align with the seconds markings which is not expected considering the price paid. Overall the watch wears good on the wrist and has that attention grabbing look.

    • alignment issues

That's weird, alignment issues more of a seiko thing!

Could be worth hitting up @StarBuy to check if the alignment issue you have is within spec.

    • +1

Agree, contact starbuy and perhaps email them a picture, they are very accommodating and don't expect such issues with citizen.

Great watches, I'm due to wear mine again.

    • +1

Just received mine and have the same issue with the second hands.

It shifts alignment (relative to markers) every full rotation around the dial - so aligns only half the time. Did you reach out to Starbuy?

  • +1

I'm drafting an email and will send it tomorrow. Will see what they say.

    • @0zyt0zy Any response yet?

      • Sorry for the late reply. They said they don't have stock to replace it with and asked to return it for a full refund. Contemplating whether to keep it or return it! Didnt ask whether they offer refunds for postage though

        • Maybe post a photo, could be nothing to worry about.

  • Sent an email this morning. Waiting for reply. Will keep you informed.

    • Let us know how you go mate.

      • They asked to return it for a full refund. Also said they will supply the postage label but haven't received it yet.
