Dewalt DCL050 18V Handheld LED Work Light Skin $89.95 Delivered @ National Power Tools via Catch (Price Beat $80.95 @ Bunnings)

110

Long time lurker, first time poster here. Hope this helps someone in the market for one of these lights.

I was looking for one of these to add to my Dewalt tool collection as these would be handy around the garage or general home purposes duties. Found out the price from catch was cheaper than the price at Bunnings which is $98.99

The guy at Bunnings was happy to assist me with the price match because apparently catch is part of Westfarmers group so YMMV.

This is an excellent torch. Bright and covers a wide area.

    Do Bunnings price beat Ebay?

This seller has it for $85 delivered ($80 delivered with Ebay Plus) - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/186510342668?epid=2254538832&itm…

The seller has really good feedback too for those that can't get to a Bunnings store.

I've got this light and it's fantastic. The lights are also pretty much indestructible, as per this cordless light review - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5fbMJghKvY

I bought a milwaukee from an ebay seller before and tried to claim warranty.

      1. Tried going to milwaukee. They said items from known suppliers can claim warranty.
      2. I tried the Ebay seller, ignored all communication.
      3. Contacted ebay, they said they can't do anything.

Prolly going to be the same with Dewalt.

So shit out of luck. For a few dollar cheaper, not worth the risk when warranty goes for 5 years vs 0 via ebay.

Good light, was a better deal when they came with a free 5ah battery https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/822073
    I should have bought 2!

    • Yeah I bought 1 for my dad and regretted not getting one for myself, its a very good light.

    • Yes, got mine from that deal.

New version is now available. This is Type 1 with 500/250 lumens, Type 2 has 1000/300 lumens. Same model name and price and it's not on DeWalt's website, so I don't think retailers even realize it but I was able to find one locally. You can tell it's a Type 2 by the packaging, the light will be bent at 90 degrees instead of straight up.

so im guessing this is the 1000/300 model

Bought mine in the last deal in Dec 2023 and it was already the Type 2. I'm guessing that it would be a pretty low probability of Type 1 stock still being sold.

Description says 1000 lumens but then again it is Catch…
