Nice price for a basic 4K monitor.
I have had one for 12 months - no issues.
Ordered another as I need a two monitor setup.
Surcharges: 1.2% Card & PayPal, 2% AmEx.

60hz, specs look good for a daily / work monitor but probably not great for gaming, am I wrong?
It depends.. if you want 4K 60 gaming, it's pretty great, FreeSync IPS. If you're looking for high refresh rate, well no, obviously. But that being said, if you have the specs for 4k60+ then you probably have the cash to invest in a monitor that can do that (and you already know what you're looking for).
Good call - sorry I didn't think outside of the box there, my brain just went 60hz mustn't be good for gaming, but didn't consider the 4K portion
Correct, nice for office stuff. For gaming look for a 1440p, something with freesync 165Hz etc. I don't think you need 4k on 27" and higher fps would be better.
Thanks g-rig, that probably lines up with me a bit better and what one of my monitors is currently, looking to run that second monitor as a similar but haven't found a sub $300 deal again since
Would this go well with a Mac mini?
It's a nice 4K IPS panel, sure it will
32" 4K can work a little better with scaling but you're not gonna find one (let alone IPS) for <$250 that's for sure
thanks….this one is not 4k but it's 32": https://www.centrecom.com.au/lg-32qn600-b-32-qhd-ips-hdr10-f…
I don't play a lot of games and I'm wondering if this one would be a better option?
At 32” you want 4K.
Depends what you're looking for, but for productivity non-games setup, this would be the one to pick (in the deal). Also as mentioned above 27" > you want 4k.
@Twenty2four4: thanks!
so it's better than the Dell 27" deal (S2725DS 1440p for $278.26) shared here? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/854731
@zsygym: My S2725DS arrived yesterday and I would have got this instead. The S2725DS has a fancy stand and speakers that I won't make much use of. I'm pairing with an S2721D. The speakers have improved over the 2721. Having said that I can't complain about the S2725DS.
Curious to see if Officeworks will price beat… Worth a trip to a shop or a call I think
Good luck only one in whole of aus and that’s in ACT lol
For me that shows delivery only and it’s out of stock for delivery.
If it shows in stock for you, then go for it.
I bought this for $300 earlier this year, after a similar Dell became unreliable and a eye-strain hazard (flickering after x hours etc.)… This LG monitor, like my old FHD LG monitor, is a very good monitor, no faults. I use it for work and also PS5. It is on at least 10 hours a day.
Can I rotate this monitor to be vertical?
Not with the original stand. VESA mounted, yes.
Does "Power type: AC Adapter" mean it uses a power pack and the little round plugs instead of a standard power cord?
Can confirm it does (use a power pack and round plug)
What is a good 24" LED monitor with USB C (including power delivery) and inbuilt webcam?
Is this the same monitor that aldi was selling for $200 a couple of months ago?
Edit, no, sorry, that was 32".
Is this better for gaming or a 2k with higher refresh?
2K higher refresh rate for sure. You will never go back to 60Hz if your main use is gaming.
If I could go back, I would buy a monitor with a higher refresh rate. 60Hz does not do some games like Unchartarted 4 (PS5) any justice at all IMO, but I am very picky.
THe colours and the resolution and the screen quality is very good though.
USB C?
Coupon code checks out.
Thinking of either grabbing this or the Dell S2721QS that’s currently on special. Doing a bit of digging on reddit and found this comment. Most of it is a big whoosh to my smooth brain but sounds like the dell has the better panel.
“ 27UL500/650 are considerably worse than dells, because use a cheap BOE 27 4k panel, which is grainy, and also LG has poorer factory calibration than Dells. U worth the premium becuase they have proper sRGB, DCI-p3 modes in the menu, better panels etc. LG UP series have much better contrast and gamut, but still use cheap chinese BOE panels, although higher quality than the one in UL500. UP series also have higher glow than UL/UN. UP850 however is a very special monitor, because it allows use to use hardware calibration, which suddenly makes it on par with very expensive designer monitors. If you do not do photo you should not worry.
There is no 4k glossy monitors (save for a single model very new Alocgic clarity) on the market.
TLDR: Do not buy UL500/UL650, These suck, esp 500. U2718Q for $250 is a steal, go for it. If you deicde to buy UP, UP850 is the best model. Samsung s27a700 is almost same device with up650, but usually cheaper.”
Apparently dell are terrible with Macs … lots of flickering. I chose lg to avoid this.
Have heard that too. Going to dig a little more on this panel as the price is right.
Some articles about it, even with fix with the beta there is some flickering.
I have moved FROM Dell to this LG, because the Dell became a hazard (flickering after x hours) - had to be turned off for a few mins until it became normal. (PS5 and mac for work)
Also colour calibration - I find it better than than the Dell, which required tweaking to get it to my liking.
This or the Samsung ViewFinity S70A https://www.centrecom.com.au/samsung-s7-27-3840-x-2160-uhd-5…
Which is $19 more. Any benefits spending the extra?
The stand isn't height adjustable (if that matters).
Also, this has two HDMI ports but doesn't auto-detect and has to be manually changed via the settings.
Would this be fine for a macbook? I've read I should get a 5k monitor due to scaling etc, but it's out of my price range. Just got the macbook, and would like a monitor for home use with it, with light gaming (BG3 basically)
Nice, ips too
