Searched my emails, and found it was also free on GOG (via Amazon Prime Gaming) in December 2021. Might save $4 if it is there.

Neither, loved no. 1, chugged my old PC though, now I've got a new one I should be good to go!
The game I'd like to call the 'politician simulator' (Frostpunk 2 might be more accurate at that) because there will always be discontent amongst the populace no matter what you do.
its kinda like puzzle survivor game initially, once you get to know which tech is worth researching, laws to pass and the order to build and what to do it becomes* a little easier.
still a Great game though, the scenarios: "A new home", "Winterhome" and "the last Autumn" is seriously some great storytelling and charming survival city building sim (timed).
You can get the GOTY edition from fanatical for $11.15, entirely depends on whether you want the steam points.

The first couple of hours its more puzzle than city builder / simulator. Great game, but the early game meant a little too many restarts as one mistake can set you back until you learn what works and what doesn't.

Genuinely fantastic game, super punishing if you do things wrong, but equally rewarding if you get it right. Its also such a cozy vibe late at night where your primary enemy is also what has you running the heater in the loungeroom :P Can easily sink a whole night into building a city. Cannot wait for the next one to come around.
