I rarely shop at Aliexpress these days since Temu are subsidizing all these purchases at the cost of expansion (they are making big losses on every sold item). I suspect it won't last long so taking advantage of it. lol

okay, after googling it, mine appeared to be a bit stuck until used quite a bit of force to retract it, which kinda felt like i might break someting in it, the umbrella finally retracts more normally when I pull it.
Press the button again. Shade should collapse and then you can push the rod closed
Yeah it did, but the rod itself required a bit of heavy pressure, after it closed the first time no dramas

I bought one from Aliexpress on July 4th for AUD$5 but the total cost with shipping was AUD$10.
After opening the parcel, I noticed how heavy it was compared to my 18 y.o. Korjo umbrella even though they both have auto opening and closing.
The Xiaomi 12 Bone is 60% heavier than the Korjo even though it is only 5 cm wider. Because of this weight difference, the Xiaomi has a much greater "kick" when opening and closing.
I checked to see if the Korjos are still being sold. They are and Amazon Australia has them on special for $19.95 (must have Prime membership). The Regular price is $25
The Xiaomi feels like it has a stronger construction and its handle has a much better feel to it as it is longer and fits my hand better but given the choice between both, I would buy the Korjo because of how you hardly notice you're carrying it, whether on your arm or in a bag or pack.
If weight's not a problem I would buy the Xiaomi but if I were a woman I would much prefer the Korjo.
Looks like they calculate the tax on the original price plus shipping before the welcome discount.
