Is this card really can buy other giftcards at woolies?
I’ve done it many times. But the Woolworths special card. Then buy TCN, Ultimate or Apple cards with it. (You can’t buy another Woolworths card in store though)

Can the Woolies Special GC be used to pay for fuel?
The Woolworths Special gift card is a prepaid Mastercard gift card that can only be redeemed at Woolworths Supermarkets, Woolworths Metro and Woolworths Online. I do not recall any of those stores selling fuel. If you attempt to use it at a service station, it should be declined.
If you want to use it to pay for fuel, you would need to use it to purchase a gift card that can then be redeemed at a fuel retailer. For example, if you use it to purchase a WISH or Essentials gift card, that can be redeemed at EG Ampol.
On the other hand, if you purchase an Aussie Explorer gift card from Special, that should be redeemable at service stations. I used one at Shell Coles Express a couple of months ago, plus a number of service stations are currently listed on the Aussie Explorer gift card page as featured retailers.

What an annoying experience!
Got targetted again and managed to purchase a Woolies card this time, after being targetted and rejected (after 2 days) for a purchase last time for no reason. Then, I found out you have to download their app to receive the GC so you can then transfer the card onto G/Apple wallet instead of just providing the details like normal people. Basically forcing people into having to download their app to access their GCs. Otherwise you can only use the Woolies card for online purchase if you don't want to use their app.
They are Special, for sure. Just not the good kind.
To be fair, once you've done it once, it's not such a big deal. This is especially considering the fact that these have the big advantage of being able to be used to buy other gift cards in-store, which isn't possible with regular Woolies gift cards
You can skip the app download. When you get the card, login and click manage and then spend online. It pulls up the card details which you can then chuck in your wallet.
Yea eventually I realised that it's a prepaid Mastercard, like what Wookie said above, rather than the usual Woolies GC like what I expected.
How long does cashback take? I bought from Boost Mobile with Citibank and still waiting for cash back…
I took up this offer on 30th May with expiry for offer on 31st May. Didn't receive my cashback. Rang up Citibank today who washed their hands of it and said it is a cashback offer from merchant. Said I have to ring special cards if I want to chase this up.
I somehow don't think I'll have any luck there. Have no proof of the offer.
I bought on 2024-06-02 which was the expiry date of the last offer and only got cashback on 2024-06-30. I sent them a message in between and they had replied the day I got the cashback asking for more details but the cashback came anyway, not sure if those were related.

That's a long time to take to get the cashback. It only took me a few days to get the cashback from the Good Guys Citibank deal recently. I've just bought a Special Gift Card and based on what you have said, I will now have to set a reminder to check my account for the cashback in a months time.
Just to update, I did eventually get the cashback but it took over 1 month.
Is there anyway to buy Coles/Coles Myer group Gift card using any special gift card? I know it's not available directly on Special Gift card's Website but I was wondering if we can use any 3rd party gift card to buy these.
