QuickOffice Pro (+HD) for Android - $0.99 (Phone) $4.82 (HD/Tablet), Normally ~$15 & $20

Quickoffice Pro for Android on sale at the moment in the Google Play store (as is the case for iPhone too I believe) Normal version for phones 0.99 (normally around 14.99); HD version for tablets (normally round 19.99).

Link directs to the phone version.

Quickoffice Pro allows you to view/edit MS Office files on your phone. I've found it to be a good app, but reviews have gone downhill recently.
Useful if your Android device doesn't come with a Word/Excel, etc. editing app packaged.

  • It's $5.49 for the iPad version

  • i dont own android but is there any android users who dont root their tablet/phone?

    • +1

Lots, either due to not knowing what rooting is, it's too hard to do, or worried about losing warranty…
      but what is the relevance?

    • He is hinting something about piracy by my guess. Also, he is absolutely clueless about how android works.

yes i was hinting why need to pay $20 (rpp) for this.
long time ago i had htc legend phone - one of the most difficult to root - but i managed to root it and install alot games and apps.
i dont know if anything change since then, but i supposed the root is permanent not depends on o/s version (compare with idevices)

I don't believe you actually need to root to get apps/games without $$.

        • didnt know this! wow android is good
so root is only to install custom cooked roms?

  • When Google acquired QuickOffice 3 months ago I was hoping Google would make it free :) A FREE off-line Office suite on every Android tablet — that would certainly make it competitive against Windows RT at work places. C'mon Google we know you can do it!

    • C'mon scotty, you know "offline" just isn't the way google rolls. Its cloud or nothing with them. Otherwise we'd have nexus devices with micoSD, and then everything would be good in the world.

    • I use Kingsoft Office, it's free and hasn't let me down yet.

  • I don't like the fact that they have 2 separate phone and tablet apps, Unlike OfficeSuite Pro that is both combined.

  • Newbie question - what is the difference between Quick Office and Polaris Office? From my limited experience, I found Polaris to be pretty good. Am I missing something?
