Google search . Its what most people would do , unless someone on this site can point you directly

    • Nearly all mechanics are familiar with Mitsubishi vehicles as they are very common (including Pajero)

But if OP wants the MOST EXPENSIVE one - take it to the nearest Mitsubishi dealer

Personally Id take it to the most conveniently located local mechanic

Best mechanic depends on the problem. Also depends onnwhat you mean by best. Best value, best workmanship, best waiting room…

Unless you’re wanting to SAS or other custom fab any competent mechanic should be able to fix a paj

Over 20 years of ownership, believe me they can't.

      Well I did say competent…

      • Well I did say competent

        Yep, that's the magic word.

Pajeros can be a pain to work on.

Modern cars are a pain to qork on. Everythign jammed in tight and not really designed to be pulled apart easily 'becasue they are so reliable'

At least theres thousands of Paheros around so many mechanics will know what common issues are.

Nothing to do with everything being jammed in tight. The diesels have plenty of room and Mitsubishi stopped bringing petrol Pajeros into OZ years ago.

As I mentioned above, I have been a Pajero owner more than 20 years and a long time member of the Pajero board . During that time I have seen and read many stuff ups my so called competent mechanics.

I've had mechanics say to me 'sorry we don't work on Pajeros'. Others have said yeah we will look at it but don't know if we can fix it. Luckily I found a top diesel mechanic that did my work.

Mechanics have been left scratching their heads with some Pajero quirks.

@CurlCurl: Fair enough, but i wouldnt be surprised if its similar for lots of different but common models. Good cars but with a quirk that means a lot of mechanics decide theyd rather not play with that type again.

        • @CurlCurl : I second you on that

        • Yes my friend. I have spent nearly 1.5k to get it fixed but it's giving me errors of throttle valve & I suppose throttle body comes as a full part from wreckers for $300 ish.

What's your point? It's Sunday so no mechanic will be open.

I know a great Pajero Mechanic but he's in Sydney and booked out 3 months ahead.

If you are referring to Eddie at Artarmon Motors, yes I know him.

That's him. I've told them to bump up his hourly rate to take the pressure off or have a higher rate with a loyalty discount for the long term (5+ years) regular customers (which isn't me) but they thought this very complicated.

    • @ CurlCurl : Hahaha. Thanks I'm not a blog! Just haven't checked messages on OZB!!!

  • Dont waste your time with this post

OP hasnt bothered replying anywhere so probably just took his Pajero down the road to the nearest mechanic
As most of us would do

    • I appreciate your patience.!!,😀🙏
