    Good deal.
    Complete and outsize.

Isn't the outsize just plain too big?

    • +9

      That’s what she said

    • +4

      it's big, thick and heavy

    • +1

Yeah, I’ve got the regular gen5detect and it’s way too heavy for me. I’d return it if I could.

Can I return the old one I bought for $1,019?

    It’s too cheap now

    • go for it.

    • +1

Return this new one with the old receipt, and undamaged box.

You're awfully reactive for a bored person.

      Someone's a bit triggered :p

    • But the comments are usually NOT about everyday size.

    • But while Hardly Normal is it truly outsize?

The deal is for the complete package, not absolute.

      • Basically the completely package is just an extra stand. It's values at about $90 ish (dyson says $100ish).

I think this is a good deal.

  • Why spend a grand on a vacuum and do the work yourself, when there's a tonne of good robots available for much less? I thought everyone moved on from that

    • Dyson with their outdated non interchangeable battery is way overpriced. My Bosh is way better, and quieter too and the battery can also be used for gardening tools. My old Dyson is now a throw away item and it would be my last Dyson.

@Bluering48, that’s what I thought about the interchangeable battery, but Dyson has come along way since my V10. The new Dyson from v11 up allows for interchangeable batteries, and from my experience with a v15, you’re able to open up the barrel and maintain the filters so you’ll get mileage for a solid 10yrs, for as long as Dyson continues to manufacture the parts. I wouldn’t pay full RRP for a Dyson unless they’re on sale, but they are leaps and bounds better than anything in the stick vacuum market. They truly do perform deep cleans but for a price.

        • Correct, I am aware of the new Dyson v11 swappable battery, but, jee the price is very steep. About Dyson continues to manufacture the parts? Well, the battery of my old dyson is dead, the vacuum is still performing, but dyson do not make batteries for this one any more. So, it is be a good working machine but good for landfill. Fortunately, I managed to get an adapter that takes the Ozito battery and converts it to dyson battery. Why I chose Ozito? Because their batteries are cheap. Here you go, my old dyson seems to have another life. Cheers!

Robot is a convenience but cannot replace a proper vacuum, and if you have multi floors you will need 2 or more robots.

Unless you are the robot to move the one up and down. :D

      • Have two or more robots, could replace my stick vac with a broom most likely as have hard floors

  • How's this vs the v15?

    • From my research, they’re very similar for the gen5detect vs v15, with a lean on preference towards gen5detect.
      - mainly due to the lack of annoying-for-some trigger.

There’s no equivalent for the outsize though.

      • Our V7 and V10 both have triggers, so when I was looking into V15 I didn't quite get the complaints about trigger.

After getting the Gen5Detect, not going back to triggers. :D

  • Great price, especially considering it includes the Dok (dock), which typically sells for $149. There are cheaper ones on Amazon, but would recommend EZYmount if not getting Dyson Dok.

We paid similar price for non-Outsize and without the Dok (additional $80 to purchase the EZYmount).

    • why buy EZY? Dyson is so much

      • The Dyson Dok was out of stock at the time, and I wouldn't pay $149 for it.

We have accessories from the previous V10, the official Dok doesn't accommodate them, but they can all go on the EZYmount.

Also, EZYmount being universal design, it can be used with future models.

  • Is dyson better than XIaomi? Need a handheld for quick cleanup which kids can use too

    • There is no comparison between a Ferrari and a Toyota in terms on peformance
