On sale for EOFY. Not sure if price will revert back on 1st July.
I was looking for a 11 to 12 inch tablet to replace my laptop for work during travel as I wanted something lightweight and compact (I just remote view into a server).
Ended up playing with this Lenovo 12.7 inch one in store and quite liked it, and it actually doesn't feel that big either compared to its P11 11 inch version (also on sale for $349).
Amazon, Centrecom, and Mwave have it listed for $489 on their website so I was able to have Officeworks price match/beat by 5%, so got it for $464.55.
I thought the extra $115.55 compared to the 11 inch model was worth it for:
- A larger LTPS display (2944x1840) vs the smaller IPS (2000x1200) - however refresh rate is only 60Hz as opposed to the 120Hz on the smaller tablet
- 8GB of ram instead of 6GB
- 256GB SSD vs 128GB
- A slightly better CPU (apparently)
- A much better GPU (apparently)
I'm sure you could get Amazon to match it too if you go through the chat but I wanted to add the Lenovo keyboard and flip cover on the same invoice ($147 - https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-key…). It is a bit pricey for the proper Lenovo keyboard (not even backlit), but I read that the touchpad on it was going to be much better as it connects via the POGO connector pins, as opposed to using a generic bluetooth keyboard.
If you're heading overseas like me within 60 days you can also claim back the 10% GST at the airport for more savings.
