  • Thanks. Ordered 3 x 1kg bags.

    • Please let us know your roast dates when you get them… SL have had issues around this in the past.

I ordered 3kg of steadfast last week and they arrived less than 7 days after roasting

      • Will do.

To be honest it wont affect me much, a lot of the time we buy Vittoria Organic beans…no idea how old they are.

Mine arrived 3 days after roasting.

  • Anyone have any experience with these beans and their flavour? My wife and I generally enjoy punchy coffee that provides a little kick as opposed to the more mellow beans, if that makes sense.
We've been using DC Coffee's The Duchess and The Darkness of late, but we would be keen to hear if these should be in our rotation?

Also, as we're new the coffee espresso world - if I bought these today, even though the use by might be a year out, how long are going to stay 'fresh' for? and can I just leave them in our pantry (away from direct sunlight)?

We like Steadfast as our everyday blend, didn't enjoy the other two blends. We also do Duchess and Darkness from DC.

      • Steadfast is also our everyday blend. It’s quite chocolatey without being overly bitter. It’s a blend good both for black and milk drinks. I’ve found it one of the more longer lasting roasts - still tastes good and has good extraction without massively adjusting your grinder if you drink it outside of the peak post-roast flavour period (14-28 days?). Coffee machine is Breville barista pro and we’re based in Melbourne - so YMMV

        • thanks everyone. i ordered a kilo of the steadfast and stellar to see how we go… that should keep us perky for a couple of months :)

I try to use my beans within 2 months of the roast date. If I think it'll take longer than that I vacuum and freeze.

keep them in freezer once opened. If you have room in the freezer, I would keep coffee beans in there to have fresh taste
