Ripper deal for today. I've got a Speedtimer myself and it's a fantastic watch. Great size, legible dial, solar, sapphire - see someone wax lyrical here about theirs.

It's back on! This time Starbuy have replaced the Blue dial (Seiko Speedtimer SSC815P which is completely sold out) with the Panda dial and listed it at their previous sale price of $579. I received a PM from them advising me of this, and that they've secured some more stock from Seiko specifically for this. Post has been updated to reflect the new model.

Edit: Sadly, the fun didn't last long today. Within minutes of my posting the stock levels had dropped below 10 units and now it looks like they're all gone. Maybe Deepak will replace it with something else?

        Correct, like most clearances etc.

        It's still a great price, as long as you like those colours. The panda (and ivory) is so easy on the eyes. You'd get less resale as well if not popular. Pandas go for $450-500 second hand.

        May suit someone though.

        dont think its to do with colour. Rolex Daytona Panda is one of the most wanted. This looks a lot like it.

    Fantastic price, color is a bit meh compare to other ssc (panda/911/pepsi). Seiko speedtimer overall are handsome watch.

      The Speedtimer ssc813p is beautiful.

      It is masculine, yet dainty and pert. I am a heterosexual male, but if I were to date a man I would want him to be like this watch, aesthetically and stylistically.

      It is vintage and old fashioned. I'm old fashioned myself, so that appeals to me. It is secure without being gaudy, loud without having to shout…

      It is a polite sexual liaison - without the trappings of erotica. There is no drama or window shopping, just raw pleasure.
      It isn't the honey but the hive itself, if you catch my meaning.

    oooohhh so tempting to get the Panda speedy. But looking down to my wrist now with my Pagani speedy homage with domed sapphire, mega quartz, and only at $100, I managed to barely keep myself calm to save my money :)

            @Jimothy Wongingtons: Well, if you want a good, dark contrast with the 813 then the 933 is an excellent choice (I'm also a sucker for anything green…), but I think WD could do better than the price they've got it at. But, if you're more partial to the lighter colours then the 911 sure is a pretty dial and quite a bit less, especially if you're able to score the $20 coupon.

            How about the SSC915P? It's $60 less than the 933, and the black with blue sub-dials is eye-catching and the splash of red on the tachymeter really pops.

      You need to see Jody’s latest video where he questions why makers label their product as ‘mens watches’ or ‘ladies watches’.

      TLDR - just call it ‘a watch’ and let the consumers decide if it’s the right size for them. I have a 7 1/4” wrist and I own one of these Speedtimers, and I think it suits me really nicely. I also own a couple of Aragon watches, which you would definitely not refer to as ‘small’, and I think they also suit me well. YMMV
