Was at IKEA and saw these two bulbs on special - must be clearing old stock for a new model; not sure if its available in all IKEA.

https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/tradfri-led-bulb-e27-1055-lumen…

The product link for the e14 bulb with the same item code no longer exist.

Still at least a box or two for each type!

ps. be gentle as i don't normally post deals!

  • is it bright enough?

    • Oh yea, its bright, if you're strong enough

    • The E14 bulb at 470 lumens is not bright, there are better options available

However, the E27 at 1055 lumens is plenty bright and is the same as other quality brand options available.

    • Yeah the 1055 is bright enough; used it outdoor got a few spares as I wasn't sure how long they last outside but for $3 was happy to try!

Haven't tried the E14 as I don't have a use case for it just yet; might use it for garage lighting of some sor.

  • Great deal, anyone seen anything like this in VIC?

Saw these recently. They are shit. All IKEA lighting is 2700k (yellow) and therefore looks awful. We're not in the 80's anymore Marty. Their panel lighting is also a cheap and nasty disaster. If they'd run LEDs all around the panel rather than one side it could have been great.

The wireless dimmable controller looked good. But I'd be going straight to Bunnings to replace the bulbs with 6000k white light.

    • These bulbs are adjustable temperature from warm to cool…and adjustable brightness.

I have one and it’s very bright at 100%.

I would buy more if my older LIFX bulbs eventually fail.

The box literally says 2700k and every one on display is yellow

I believe that is the "default" setting if you look at the product i had listed it says

"The colour temperature can be switched between 2200 Kelvin (warm glow), 2700 Kelvin (warm white) and 4000 Kelvin (cool white)."

And I can confirm it can all be set from HASS or your software of choice.

    • I'd be going straight to Bunnings to replace the bulbs with 6000k white light.

I'd admit you to a psych ward but I don't think even they have such clinically sterile lighting.
