Anyone else notice there is no ABN, trading name, physical or postal address on the site?
According to the Privacy Policy page their postal address is 34 Southgate Avenue, Cannon Hill QLD, and when you look that up in Google Maps the Streetview image shows that in July '22 it was an office building under construction in what looks like a business park. There are other inconsistencies, too. On every page I visited there's a banner under the top navigation that states Authorised Dealer For Over 50 Years, and at the bottom is a badge stating Australia Owned - Authorised Dealer - 85 Years. 'Authorised Dealer' of which brands?
Their About Us page claims they've been in business for 65+ years, so one would assume that they'd have some sort of reputation already but I'm not seeing much evidence. There's no other way of contacting them apart from an email address or the web site Contact Us form, not even a phone number. Although, the FAQ page does state in the last point that a recepit with full contact details will be sent with every purchase.
Anybody willing to take one for the team and find out? Maybe the easiest way would be for a friendly OzBargainer who's Brisbane-based to take a trip to Cannon Hill and have a squizz in person.

Another quick web search shows this is actually Bevilles Jewellers, where you'll find almost exactly the same text on their Privacy Policy page as well.
Do you think it's legit, or they've just yoinked the contents of the documents for their own convenience? The amount of Chat-GPT babble on the website makes it really hard to navigate.
The brands on offer are similar between the two, as is the normal pricing. So, I suspect Watches Galore is to Bevilles what Watch Driect is to the Shiels group, except Bevilles have leaned heavily into AI-generated content. The cheapest item on the WG web site is a Nurses watch @ $37.49, so with 10% off and free shipping I'm tempted to test them to see what transpires.
