EB Games has a trade in offer for a trade in of a PS4 Pro + 4 games (until the 27th June on Thursday for $347 for non members) for a PS5 Slim disc console. $397 if you are trading in a PS4 slim instead.

If you are a member, you will get a further discount that is not listed on the website. Had an EB Games employee confirm and print off this deal for members.

  • Member level 2: $315 after trade ins
  • Member level 3: $299 after trade ins
  • Member level 4: $283 after trade ins
  • Member level 5: $267 after trade ins

      They told me "any games that aren't garbage". I just gave them 4 games I didn't play anymore like Assassin's Creed Origins which I thought was garbage but they took it.

      Yes! Wait until stable exploit for ps5, then just spend for console and save a lot on games. Better deal considering some new games are $80+

      Could buy a cheap PS4 pro ($80) and some garbage games on marketplace ($20), trade in for the ps5 slim, and sell your og ps5 on marketplace ($400-500).

      Assuming you get a good value on your ps5 sale and you're at least lvl 2 then you'll have a free upgrade, or an upgrade + $100 in your pocket.

      Edit: I may have underestimated the resale value of a PS4 pro, but if you lowball people on marketplace this could still work.

    Does anyone know if the ID check with trade ins has to match the name on the EB Games membership? Ie can you use a friends membership with a higher level when trading in or do they need to be there with you?

      I've never had my id checked. You may as well give it a go, and if they check your id just go to a different store or come back another day when a less anal retentive employee is working

      No idea, they definitely will check your ID, but I have no clue if that's more to have details to follow up if the trade in is dodgy (e.g. broken console) rather than to make sure it's the right eb world account

      Yes, I had my friend with me and his level 4 membership. We used his ID but I paid. So just to be safe I think they did match membership with ID.

    Just traded in with no issues.

    Asked if there were any requirements for the games and they said could be any games and could even be Xbox too. Ended up buying 4x $1-2 preowned games the same store and used them to trade in because the games I had are probably worth $15-20 on FB market.

    Asked if I could use an friends membership (LVL 4) and they said it was fine, just scanned the barcode. Still needed my ID for the trade though.

    Was able to use gift cards to pay the balance.
