Best Toddler Headphones for Long Travel/Flights

Hi good day, heading to uk and Ireland from Perth by plane in few weeks, looking at recommendations on headphones for 2 year old too keep noise down from plane, and also her media on the trip so not to annoy others and keep us all sane.
I guess they would also be used for longish car trips in Oz too.
Any recommendations would be very grateful! Ta

What you need is any volume limited kids headphones to reduce the risk of hearing damage.

Something like this would be fine https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/otto-kids-…

Kids do not need high quality audio to watch Bluey.

    Otherwise, anything here https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/c/technology…

  • We used JL Labs kids headphones. They were volume limited, decent build quality. Folded up small. Had two pairs that never broke. Wired- not going to try faff about with wireless for a toddler.

Cheers many thanks just rea some have fake noise limiters or pretty shit at it,which is a bit concerning!

  • I wholly recommend noise cancelling over-ear headphone for kids as it reduces their risk of future hearing loss seeing as they don't need to crank the volume to overcome ambient noise. I gather 90% head width is attained by age 3 so best to try on some of the store demo models for comfort & fit. Initial spend may feel high but you'll get plenty of life by simply replacing worn ear pads, If you want to spend less there are always plenty on-hand at Cashies. Consider Bose QC25, the last of the wired headphones.

    • Absolutely , limiting hearing damage is the most important thing, many thanks

QC25 runs for ages on a single AAA alkaline. Set of replacement ear pads costs well under $10. If you buy pre-owned make sure the cable is included.

Nothing to add, but thanks for not being a selfish tool by letting your toddler watch annoying noisy iPad shows with the volume up on a plane.

  • problem i found with kid headphones is because of the engine noise, you can't really hear properly
I ended up just getting normal headphones (usb C ones) and then putting a noise limiting app on the device

    • Oks cheers for the idea

  • Just bear in mind that at that age, might be a struggle to get them to keep the headphones on. So i would probably just go with something pretty cheap on the basis that it might not get used much.

  • beats by Dr Dre.

he's a Dr, so you know they are good.

  • Puro headphones are generally considered the best for kids

  • I just went down this rabbit hole and found the only ones with decent reviews that have both ANC and volume limiting to be the Buddyphones brand (had never heard of them until this search). Ended up ordering the CosmosFun model for my 4 year old for flights to the UK later this year.

I left them in the cart for a few days and got an email with a 15% off code.

They arrived to Sydney from HK in about a week. Very impressed with the quality and functions and seem like they will fit the kid for a long time (they just fit on my adult head).
