There's always Ebay, but they're (those selling Nexus 4's on ebay) charging a premium.
Why not just buy it from Google play store (unlocked) and ship it over from US.

Yes it's possible. It's also out of stock in US though, and many don't want the complexity of dealing with a parcel forwarder.

I think so. Nexus 4 has pentaband 3G and should work on all carriers in Australia.

Do you keep your music and video on your phone as well? Personally I think 8GB is enough — I don't keep music or video on the phone, and most casual games take up very little space. YMMV.
No need for a parcel forwarder, as Google will ship it to Australia. The main problem is the stock :( I really wanted one but at this rate, an s3 4g on telstra could end up being worth the extra.

The only place that you can order Nexus 4 right now would be Google Play store, although
I think LG might need to ramp up the production, although I think it might be tough to score a Nexus 4 before Christmas.
