$199 (prior to markdowns) for a regular button up long sleeve shirt is absolutely ridiculous even for a TH brand.
This seems to be a case of overly inflated “regular” price and then giving a what appears a massive markdown only to give a price of what the item would/should sell at. Arguably still over the amount.
I despise this business tactic. The supermarkets use similar marketing. Essentially doubling the price of every item and then having the occasional 50% off to give an illusion of a sale when in fact you are paying the previously regular price. Sadly it’s probably an effective strategy so it’s not going to disappear anytime soon.

I hate Tommy Hilfiger. It’s a cheap, poor quality brand that’s over inflated. My local DFO had polos from $119 to $30 after their end of season discounts, signing up to in store news letters and some loyalty program. Even then I suspect they were making a massive profit!
