ShopBack Booking.com Cashback Delayed for Months

Hey everyone, is anyone else having delays with shopback for booking.com cashback?

I had a stay completed 31st Dec, supposed to be paid in March and still nothing. I asked gotyourback a month ago and he said they haven't heard from the merchant. Followed up with SB today and same old they are investigating. Is there anything else we can do? Haven't had this issue before, SB used to confirm within the timeframe.

I have another booking coming up with cashback and I'm thinking of just cancelling and finding a better upfront deal.

        Use Cashrewards, my Booking.com cashbacks come through within a month after check-out.

          Thanks, I've rebooked my next stay now via cashrewards. Still nothing from shopback for the previous stay.

    NGL CR and SB are getting a bit stingy with their cashback tracking…
    I wonder if they're struggling.

    Do you mean tracking or confirming? shopback tracks as it usually has but confirmation takes an age nowadays.

    I've had all mine (~$500 worth in ~10 transactions) from the beginning of the year track immediately and approved and paid out exactly 90 days later*.

    *Edit: or less.

    Every time I tried to use Shopback on Booking.com the prices would rise by more than the cashback percentage, pretty dodgy business practice.

      I only had that happen 1 out of 11 of my transactions earlier this year.

    Not sure in your case what's going on but doesn't sound too good. Note though that all cashback sites including TopCashback are going to have similar issues, don't think it's just a SB issue. Ultimately you always need to think of cashback as a sweetener as opposed to relying on it.

    I personally booked about $5000 worth of accommodation in November from booking.com via SB and had it all paid out in Feb this year. Was a nice $750 or so as well and went through easily.

    Also to poster above, I compared prices with and without using Shopback and the prices were identical - and booking.com itself was cheaper than going to the hotel direct as well, so not sure what they're on about.

      Yeah it's been good for a few years as a sweetener. Just wanted to see what others are experiencing, if it may be a one off or not. The place i booked was the same price direct as via SB/booking.com.

      Same - I have had all mine previously pay out, including one payout last week so they are going through.

      A note with the prices with shopback and booking.com prices - like you I had never seen a price difference before until a couple of days ago.
      I have Genius Level 3 - not sure if that makes a difference, but I found a hotel I was going to book, turned on Shopback and found it again, price had gone up $30ish dollars.

      Did a incognito browser and found the same hotel - cheaper again. Looks like booking.com are changing prices now for shopback, or at least were trialing it when I was browsing.

      Note: Be careful with thinking Genius gives you a better offer. I regularly get better prices just by searching the same hotel again via Google and booking.com has a lower price showing.

        Lately I've been finding going through Trivago to booking.com has been giving me better prices than going direct to booking.com or the hotel directly.

    Booking.com cash back through Cash Rewards comes through very quickly for me e.g. within a month sometimes within two weeks of check-out.
