Original Coupon Deal

Thank you @Jaduqimon below, link for slightly cheaper from the same seller

The "PlayStation Portal at home".

Ordered this in the previous AliExpress sale and it's been really good for tablet gaming (been streaming FF7 Rebirth and it's worked a treat).

Comfy controller, lasts maybe around 8ish hours per charge. R1/L1 are a bit clicky for my liking, but other than that I really like the controller.

Hall Sticks and analogue triggers as well which feel really nice.

  • The Gamestation 5 Shportal

  • Ghetto Portal. But seriously you can pick up these and the D8 for like $30. And yet we pay between $150 and $180 for a Backbone and G8… no they are not 5 times better. And before anyone says “but Bluetooth”, shut your mouth… latency is practically non existent with modern Bluetooth. And if you do feel a substantial difference, stop playing competitively on a mobile.

    • You can get g8 for like $50 usd with coupons from aliexpress

    • The Gamesirs I would still recommend for a mobile phone, but this one is better for tablets since it's actually designed to stretch that far. It feels a bit too "extra" for a small phone, and Gamesir X2S is like $55 or so.

D8 though looks like a similar build to the Gamesir X2 so that might work well.

    • Thanks, I'll make a note in the OP :)

  • Not a recommendation, but I bought Gamesir Galileo G8 for $80, you can mod it easily to fit any tablet in it, and reviews are awesome. More expensive but might worth it

I was tempted to do something similar but saw videos about the springs just loosening over time so it would never fully "close".

Something to consider but a yeah a lot of people still do this mod.
