    This deal makes me angry

the deal reads as if i would get a $30 double pass for free.
this deal make me … confused?!?!

    • Hi nerd1, sorry to hear that! It's really simple. At the link, you pay $30 for a voucher. You use the voucher at Event Cinemas to get 2 tickets to Inside Out 2.

  • Can I pay to upgrade to V-Max recliners?

    • Hi dingleberries, yes! Surcharges apply to upgrade to V-Max or 3D screenings and must be paid at the time of redeeming the eVoucher.

Gobsmacked. What type of ticket is $27 and at which cinema? Or is that inclusive of the online processing fee…

You save $1 per ticket if you are a student. Alternatively if you can get the family pass deal then this offer is $1 more per ticket. This is at Indooroopilly.

Hi StevieRay, an Adult ticket at Event George St (Sydney) for a standard session is $27. I verified the price this afternoon. That does NOT include any booking fee - over the counter price.

If you're a Cinebuzz member, the morning sessions are $17 for an adult. If you have 400 points accumulated, that price comes down to $9. Tuesdays are still half price, so the morning sessions come down to $13.50 - all in standard sessions. And you don't have to have a 2nd person (I usually go to movies solo)

Who on earth would pay $27 to watch a movie, especially given the quality of films in the current era.

    • Yep, and this movie is no exception. I wasn't impressed, nor was my child. Way too much talking, and was far from entertaining. Coming of age…..missed the point there, awful second attempt.

Why is the ACT excluded for this deal?

    • it's inside out

    • Only Frozen shown in ACT

    • Hi awaiko, we're working on it! For now, the ACT is excluded as a condition from Event Cinemas. You may wish to ask them about this at your local Event, BCC, Greater Union or select Village Cinemas box office. Pester power works! ; )

we were going to go last weekend (family of 5) and it was going to cost $115 or thereabouts. We didnt go

        • there are so many options for cheap movie tickets.

you can find them from your telcos, insurance companies to engery companies. there's no excuse spending that much money to goto the movies.

    • Nice one sc00terMcTav, you're welcome! And a big thanks from us: your purchase meant that 50% of the profits from these 6 tickets went directly to charity : ) Enjoy the movie!

      • How much goes to charity?
50% of profits seems like a lot but most likely its cents right?

Hi Jessie, great question - while we can't fully share our wholesale arrangement for GoodTix, we can tell you that we donate between $1 and $2 directly to charity for every GoodTix sold. You have the choice of which cause you'd like to support at the checkout - for example, sending disaster relief, funding cancer research, removing carbon emissions or protecting endangered species (among others). We also absorb any credit card processing fees and charges at the point of sale, so there's no added costs to you. Hope this helps : )

    • Hi, where can I find this?

    Cheaper everywhere.

Cheaper to buy via Shopback as well as some other sellers

Hi bob19, we hear you! We do try to make our GoodTix prices as competitive as we possibly can. We've got a bonus "feelgood" factor we're proud of: 50% of our profits from every GoodTix go directly to charity, and you can choose which ones at the checkout. It means that with your GoodTix purchase, you're supporting amazing causes like sending disaster relief, funding cancer research, removing carbon emissions or protecting endangered species (among others) and it doesn't cost you a cent extra : )

      • -1

But don't you roll that donation into the cost? If somebody didn't want to donate to a charity, does that mean they get cheaper tickets?
People are doing it tough and a charity might be the last thing they're thinking about atm. Sounds mean or selfish yes, but it is a serious thought.

  • +1

Why are people hating so much. I normally pay $15 a ticket using vouchers so this is just another option.

    • +1

Thanks poorman, we appreciate it! And a definite bonus is 50% of our profits from every GoodTix go directly to charity!

  • Not sure what everyone is complaining about. Standard tickets at Event cinemas are usually $22+ (even with cinebuzz). There are clear savings in using these vouchers plus the added benefit of profits going to charity instead of the pockets of big corporations.

    • +1

Thanks for your support James-A : ) We just love movies and giving a bit back, simple really!

  • WARNING the purchased tickets are not issued instantly. I just made a purchase to go to the local cinema in a couple of hours, but after making the payment I'm hit with "our customer service team will be in touch within 24 hours", so it sounds like I just made a useless purchase that I'll have to chase a refund for.
