Building my first PC.
Mainly plays online games like WOW and other MMOPRGs.
It has come down to the decision between
Sapphire 7900GRE nitro + - $919 Centrecom - no discount
and
Sapphite pulse 7900 XT - 1089 Centrecom - sale price.
I personally want to go with GRE as 7900XT might be a bit overkill and does have a higher price.
I unfortunatelly missed the ALOHA sale at Centrecom so just wonder if I should hodl a bit longer for the price to drop below $900
Any advice guys?

Both options are pretty over the top for what you intend to play…RX 6600 is a great option
I'm looking forward to Brighter Shores MMO since I've played osrs/runescape alot.
if I was in your shoes and I wanted to future proof it I'd go for a RX 6750 XT or RX 6800
Was keen on the 7900 GRE Nitro + but after reading Igor labs reviews any GRE is only 5-8% better than the 7800 XT.

Best move here is the ASUS 7800 XT TUF for 750 at MSY which you can OC to GRE levels. Most reviews I've read on it get anywhere from 7 to 15%.

7900 XT is a damn good card if your budget permits but all depends if you've got the CPU for it to not throttle.
If you can cut other costs on your build a 7900XT + 7800X3D CPU will crush anything for a good while.
rx 6600 for around $300
