In What Order Are Different Energy Provider Credits Used?

State rebate, federal rebate, sign up credits…a lot is being thrown at us shortly. But does anyone what order are these credits are used in? or is this a question for each provider?

State rebate? What state is giving our power/energy credits to customers?

Federal Rebate will be in the new FY, which is obviously only a short time away.

      Qld

    • QLD will be giving us a $1,000 rebate.

      • I wish VIC did that! $1,000 would go a long way for me.

        • Vic is broke! More like they will take $1,000 from you than give it!
You can thank your previous Order of Australia corrupt and incompetent premier dictator for that.

  • From what I understand. The QLD will be a one off payment to your account, where as the federal one will be split into two 6 monthly payments.

It will just show up as a credit on your account. So whichever hits your account first, will get used first.

    So most likely: Sign-up > State > Federal part 1 > Federal part 2

    • I think the signup and state will reflect at the same time then. For anyone else wondering later on. AGL and Momentum do not discriminate different sources of credit, it's just lumped into one balance.
