42km drive for me … not worth it

      • +1

11km… maybe if I cycle there and back I'll earn the ice cream

The website is well behind. Saw plenty of Foodworks open around the area through google search. While the website states there are only regional stores. Very poor.

  • So half price at FW is $5 half price @colesworth is $6 whos ripping us more .

    • Image says better than half price.

You really falling for for that marketing trick bruv? Do you really think 1L of Ice cream tub should be retailing for $12?

        • +1

When did i say that? I just told him label says better than half price. I generally do not buy any of these unless they are half price. If I need one urgently Coles Vanilla bean comes close to this.

        • Bro that's less than half of the competing premium brands - $12 for 458mL (!).

    • Wait until you see every other price at FoodWorks, then ask again if they're cheaper…

  • Same company bro

Bought my first Haagen Das and never went back to connoisseur - first world problems

    • +1

Haagen Das is the best ice cream you can get at least when it comes to the Vanilla Variant but only if it wasn't overpriced AF. Truly wish they priced it fairly rather than the exorbitant prices they have on it at the moment

      • Too bad I havent tried that yet. Next time on sale.

Ever had the Vanilla Connoisseur? It's 36% cream and 92g per 100ml, so creamier and significantly denser than the other connoisseur ones, with very little air whipped into it.

      For perspective:
      Hagen-Daaz is 39% cream and 86.4g per 100ml.

Bulla "Creamy" is 20% cream and 46g per 100ml.

Peters doesn't even say the percentage of cream, so can go eff right off.

Agree, Connoisseur vanilla is my goto. I recently tried Aldi ones and it felt like I was eating bland dense foam.

        • Kapiti Vanilla from New Zealand, sold in Aldi I find second best after Hagen Dazs, not as sweet, third choice would be Connoisseur.

          • @OzPeter: Yup that one. Went to Aldi just to buy that after reading feedbacks here. Dont want for free. Not worth the cals in my opinion. Just too bland and foamy for my taste buds.

Aldi vanilla was one of the very few times OzBargain recommendations let me down.

  • Does this exclude WA like the last deal?

      It looks like it.

I had a look at a couple of Foodworks catalogues for WA stores and saw them for either $6.99 or $7.69.

It could be worse. I had a look at the webpage for the Foodworks on King Island (TAS) and it says that is $10.50 (was $15.99).

      $5 at Farmer Jacks

  • Peanut butter one is really good. Will def be popping into the local Foodworks for the first time ever to grab a couple at this price.

Jam doughnut isn't bad either if you are a cinnamon fan.

Be careful with these ads. The last time I went to 4 shops in Melbourne and they all told me that they don't follow the offers on the website

Thanks heaps OP, because of you I am addicred to Cafe Grande now… its amazing, and at this price it has been dangerous. So surprised our local foodworks had stock.
