Pulled the trigger and bought the Braun Series 7 71-N1200s shaver for $179.1 (vs 71-B1000s no trimmer attachment).

According to camelcamelcamel, this is near the ATL of $169.

Series 5 with beard trimmer and body Groomer attachment (51-W4650cs) $89.1
Series 7 with no trimmer attachment $197.1
Series 9 Pro+ (9517s) $359.1 - ATL I think

    Series 9 pro+ is the way to go. Coming from Panasonic arc 5, much quieter, just as close of a shave, blades cheaper etc etc.

    I got the Series 7 for Xmas 2023. Compared to my 5+ year old Series 5 I dont think its as good of an upgrade other than being quieter and better battery life. Make sure you get the trimmer attachment as this was built in to my old Series 5 but is now a seperate attachment for current gen models. The blades on the Series 7 miss a lot of fine hairs. I have to use the trimmer every few days to go over my face and neck or use a razor once a week to clean things up.
    Have not used the Series 9, but would hope it does a better job with fine hairs.

      Same here! Bought my Series 7 (790CC-4) in 2014 with the cleaning dock. Wondering if the upgrade to Series 9 will be worth it before I pull the trigger.
