deal is back again but further $10 off past all time low.

click the $70 coupon before adding to cart. most likely limited coupons so be quick if you need it.

this dashcam has:
• capacitor
• 4K sony sensor
• 64GB built in eMMC memory (no extra memory card cost)

a user commented in previous deal saying this one does have proper 4K Sony sensor, and not just converting <4K video to 4K resolution.

another user mentioned the capacitor is designed to keep the camera running in extreme heat conditions. no battery inside it’s designed to run off USB-C or wired to car (extra kit and cost).

The N5 Dual in the same item page with both front and back recording, might be a much better purchase with it being 50% off (coupon) making it ~150$

if considering that one it would be a good idea to confirm if it has a true 4K sensor. apparently some use a cheaper 1296p/2.5k sensor and just convert it to 4K video inside the camera.

I don’t know the website that allows you to check what sensor it has maybe someone else here does.

the Mini 5 in the deal has been confirmed by another user that it uses 4K sensor.

The N5 Dual uses a cheaper GalaxyCore GC8613. It is true 4K 8MP sensor but, won't be as good as Starvis 2.

Bought this on the last deal. Searched if it had a memory card slot, and guess I didn't search hard enough before buying it. It does not. The inbuilt memory is enough for about an hour's worth of recording, something to keep in mind, especially if going on long drives.

    • yeah well for me anyway the built in memory was one of the reasons why I thought it was good.

don't need to pay extra for a Endurance SD card and worry about having to replace it etc.

but I did not know 64GB only gives 1 hour of 4K video??!
even when looking at endurance microsd cards I was considering 64GB because they can get expensive.

are you sure it's only 1 hour of 4K video? google is giving me various answers but the top result says shooting 4K is 750MB per minute.
so 64000/750=85.333 minutes. seems like you are pretty close. I didn't know 4K took up that much memory.

but it loops right, so it records constantly but you can only go back 1 hour 25 minutes. probably fine for right after accidents, but yeah if you are on a long drive and want to check something that happened maybe it's not enough. you will need a pretty massive endurance microsd card though if you want to record like 24 hour loop.

      • Samsung Pro Endurance cards are regularly on sale. I have 2 512gigs and probably 6 256gigs. Think lowest I paid for a 256 was high $20s or something like that

  • Tempted to buy this and flog the 4k big w one I still have sealed in box on fb marketplace. Make a lowballer happy.

    • Lowballers are never really happy lol

  • Thanks op, got one.
