Inseego Mifi X PRO

Anyone using Inseego MiFi X PRO? I don’t quite understand how it works that both 2.4ghz and 5ghz are active under the primary line. Is it both available at the same time using same ssid?

Some of my older devices are having issues connecting to 5ghz. Do i have to switch on 2.4ghz as guest line so i can use it on older devices?

Thank you.

I found the instruction manual for your device, connect to it with a device and then open this website on the device

    http://192.168.1.1

This is a copy/paste from the manual:

Navigate to Wi-Fi > Primary Network. In the Security drop-down, select WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode.
Click Save Changes and Confirm. Your MiFi will reboot and all devices should be able to connect.

They also note to fully maximize the compatibility you can change the 2.4Ghz band mode:

Navigate to Wi-Fi > Settings. Under 2.4 GHz Band Settings, use the drop-down to change the 802.11 mode to 802.11 bgn.
NOTE: This allows older devices to connect on the 2.4 GHz band, but leaves the 5 GHz band in multi-mode to allow newer devices the fastest available connection

No need to enable the guest network to accomplish this.

Here's the manual if you need it for anything else: https://static.inseego.com/us/download/mifixpro-userguide-te…
