    Refurbished - Grade A

    • +3

Of course they're in great condition - no-one could bare using a screen like that

      • +3

Imagine if it had a dead pixel, that's half your screen gone

    • +7

beware of Australian Computer Traders, my 'Refurbished - Grade A' laptop arrived with a broken hinge

      • +1

Yes, their A geade is to be honest BS, but still ppl buy, always hit & miss.

        • +3

Yep, dirty ass screen and keyboard, keys don't work, flickering display, no response 💩

      • +1

same for me! as if they didn’t even check the laptop for 10s

        • Yep same here. I won't buy anything from them or similar sellers again.

      • Just bought from them 20 mins ago. Ah well. Hopefully it's not so bad.

I bought a B grade Latitude 7400 from ACT and besides a small scratch next to a USB C port it was like new, no wear on keys or any cosmetic imperfection for that matter. Battery was 78% but cheap to replace. Outstanding value for $248, inc. 1 year warranty.

Mileage seems to vary with ACT, but I've never had any issues, bought 4 laptops/PCs in the last 5yr from them.

Time to buy a LOTTO as well mate ..:)

          • @chutibuti: Haha will do!

            • +1

@Ham Dragon: Got it today. Not a scratch on it. Extremely happy! Everything works so far and it even has a sim card slot on the back which I didn't know about. For $219 shipped to me within 48 hours I'm very happy.

        arrived with a broken hinge

        and did you contact them?

I've bought stacks of stuff from them. It's usually excellent, but when there's been an issue, they've always resolved it.

I returned something because a better deal came along. No problems, no hassle just money back. Suffice to say what I replaced it with cost more & also came from ACT.

        • +2

Yeah I purchased a monitor from them that didn't power on; I contacted them about it and they immediately sent another that worked. I'd buy again from them based on this experience.

i think it is this laptop lol.

  • Any 7420 on deal?

  • +1

    so… is this a bargain?

    • +1

no. used ryzen 5/7 4xxxU outperforms this chip.

  • rubbish display, 720p is a joke for the 10th Gen processor

  • +2

no deal. weak CPU and poor display.

basically any 4 physical cores intel low voltage cpus will need to be under $300 to be consider acceptable.

the gen # from intel is very deceptive to how the CPU performs.

So many members are posting bad 'Australian Computer Traders' deals, no one's associated. IYKYK

100% agree guys. Their warranty also crap. Very hard to claim. Stay away from ACT

    • +2

appreciate the feedback. i thought i was getting a great deal

  • +3

They were replying to me asking for pics, sent everything, unresponsive after the return window ended, might have to get paypal involved, STAY AWAY !

    • Chargeback. The card issuer will slap a fee to the merchant.

    • +1

They kept asking me for videos. Took two months to finally get a refund!

Agree with all comments, they used to be good, but became dodgy this year. I only buy from their ebay website. Last time I bought a A grade machine and it came with dirty screen and dead pixel. Returned via ebay process and ordered again. The 2nd time, they actually put some effort and sent me a 99% new machine.

  • the cpu power in these is just a fraction better than 8350u in the gen8 refurbs
