I’m looking for a handheld vacuum with more than enough capacity to do 100sqm in one go. I’m lucky if the current Dyson can do 50sqm without dying. I’ll also be looking at getting some spare batteries.
I’m sure there’s better value out there but I don’t know where to start. Doesn’t need to be fancy because I don’t want it stolen (shared workplace) but it will need to pick up a decent amount of dirt.

I didn't require the best of the best, but went for best bang for my buck.
Yeah, it's weird but laresar.com is a German site and the .com.au doesn't exist, so If I breaks down I have to decide between talking to Americans or buying a new cleaner.
Perhaps I'll use an online translator and "auf Deutsch sprechen"
how does these go with pet hair? i want to get a cheap cordless for my mums house - she has a golden retriever and the god hair keeps killing cheap vacuums…
@Roger Engelbretson: Having only a cat, I cannot attest as to how well it handles dog hair. It handles the cat fur and dust-bunnies well, but they aren't exactly the same thing.
Perhaps read/watch some reviews. I'm sure you could get something better specifically designed for hair (I checked, they exist), but for general-purpose, what I have is decent. Your mileage may vary.
