[Refurb, eBay Plus] Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G 8GB RAM 128GB $553.02 Delivered (As New Condition) @ Green Gadgets eBay

I was looking for a nice premium but second hand phone. I saw this right after I bought one off fb marketplace. Seems like a pretty good deal. Compared to g84 you miss out on headphone jack and sd card slot and 4gb ram but you get a high resolution display, flagship camera, faster processor, and generally more swag. For 40 bucks more you get the 256 gb version which gives you 4gb more ram which i think is worth it. "refurbished" but "as new" so condition must be alright? I usually buy cheapo phones like moto, redmi and vivo but decided to try one a flagship for once.

this phone is about 2 years old so i dont think it would feel odd to use.

Also: 12GB RAM 256GB for $584.22 (insufficient quantity, removed from title — Mod)

I literally just bought a Galaxy S23+ black 256GB "As New" from the same store for $685.62. I think it's a good bargain. There's a few left of the different variants still.

    • how's the battery health and the unit itself sir?
kind of interested to take the jump

I will let you know once it arrives. Should arrive tomorrow.
Hoping it is as I am expecting lol

      • Wellllllll…. unfortunately the device arrived just now…. and its a S22+ and not a s23+ lol.
I have to go about getting it exchanged or refunded now.
The device was in decent condition though. Only noticed a couple of very slight scrapes on a couple of the edges. Borderline "As New" in my opinion. But considering it will live inside a phone case, it doesn't bother me. I just want the phone I ordered and paid for though haha.
I didn't check the battery health on it.

        • and that's what the store with a 98.3% positive review rating sent you? Wow, really living up to those stellar reviews! (Sarcasm intended)

          • @somariosidharta: Ya. Well at least the process of getting the problem resolved has been pretty good so far. Called them and been communicating through ebay with them. They are quite responsive.
So far it looks like it was an honest mistake.

I have an S22 Ultra and I wouldn't recommend it. Battery life is average and it's really laggy these days. Go for at least the s23, apparently it was a pretty big upgrade over the 22.

Agreed, even my S24 Ultra needs a late afternoon charge.

        • I used alot of sub 300$ phones in the past 10 years and all of them lasted for days with light usage. My y52 vivo im using atm about 2 years old feels like it goes on forever even if I use hotspot all day.

          • @hjkjkjkjhj: It's not rocket science. Low-mid range phones generally have large batteries, low spec displays and weak, low powered chips. Thus good battery life.

I'm the opposite, running 1 Sim and 1 E Sim and battery life is great. Fast and still a great phone. I want to get one for the missus.

    • Even lower end phones like the A35 feels snappy for me so you might have an app that is drawing too much processing power and battery in the background. I’d recheck battery usage and see what causes it.

If you have a lot of spam unread emails/SMS i’d also press “read all” on them. Apparently some android devices don’t play well with too much notifications.

    • The big jump happened between the s20 and s21 series, the Exynos SOC was redesigned with the same Cortex cores as the Qualcomm SOC, and Samsung moved production to 5nm.

Try turning off 5g except when you need it, it drains a lot of battery. You can use a home screen widget to turn it on an off easily, or just don't bother. It really isn't necessary.

Set all you apps to 'deep sleeping' except the essential ones - i.e. your messenger apps. That is essentially how IOS runs, everything closed in the background.

I have an S21 Ultra and do not have any of the issues you mention. Battery lasts more than a day of use

  • This or A55?

    • what is the price u have seen for a55?

      • $559.20 on Samsung store

      • +3

        $429 from amaysim… Brand new

G84 is half the price and 50% more real world battery life

    • yes but not as decadent

Ive bought through Green Gadgets for my current s23 ultra. Like above their "as new" is questionable. While i had no frame marks, the curved screen was scuffed the entire way around.

    • Did you return it? If yes, was it easy process?

  • Well my experience with Green Gadgets has taken a turn for the worst now, as per the forum post I created…
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/853414

Basically they sent me the wrong device, and now they are not accepting the return of the wrong device and therefore not sending me the device I paid for.
