According to the Ampol store locator, there are currently:
The gift cards are accepted pretty much in all stores.
The physical gift cards are accepted at all Ampol service stations with EFTPOS terminals (which should be all of them).
The digital gift cards are accepted at 88% of Ampol service stations.
Still sounds a little uncertain, if it’s an ampol or EG and has a 4c there is still a 12% chance that I can’t use the digital gift cards from this offer, right?
If I’m not mistaken the odds are even higher in my area, where I think I have seen signs at the pump saying they don’t take some form of ampol payment (I’m guessing these gift cards would probably be in that bucket)
@toll: All EG Ampol service stations and all Ampol Foodary service stations accept AmpolCash (both physical and digital).1
There used to be signage at EG Ampol service stations saying they did not accept AmpolCash Digital, but they were removed when EG Ampol starting accepting them earlier this year. If you go to an EG Ampol nowadays, there is likely going to be two signs:
One at the convenience store counter saying that AmpolCash Digital is accepted as a payment method.
A red sign covering a bollard near the convenience store entrance, saying that both AmpolCash (physical and digital) and AmpolCard are accepted as payment methods.
The 12% of Ampol service stations that do not accept AmpolCash Digital are either other franchisees, or unattended service stations (i.e. where fuel is only sold through pay-at-the-pump machines, such as this Ampol service station in Hobart).

The Toyota and Hyundai fuel discount offers are only accepted at Ampol Foodary service stations, plus the Ampol service station in Exmouth (which I think has been recently taken over by Ampol themselves, but it is not branded as a Foodary).
You cannot use the Toyota and Hyundai fuel discount offers at any other Ampol service stations (including EG Ampol).
Per Google Maps, that particular Exmouth location was a Caltex Star Shop at one point before it was converted entirely to a franchised Caltex a long time ago (the previous owners using their own 'Shop' branding) and continued under Ampol. So it looks like this particular location was just brought back under company control and I'd assume would be eventually rebranded Foodary in due course.
Does ww 4 cents stack with Toyota or NRMA offers?

Technically no. Also most Ampol Foodary POS automatically strike out the first discount presented if you try to stack.
But at the same time, some Ampol Foodary POS has not been updated yet, thus a stack is possible however that is up to the attendant whether to allow the stack or not.
Toyota and Hyundai are only accepted at Ampol Foodary.
Not accepted at EG or all other Ampol Franchisees.

The terms of the Origin fuel discount mentions nothing about AmpolCash.
I used a Woolworths fuel voucher + Origin fuel voucher + AmpolCash in the same transaction last week, and have been doing that for over a year now.
@burp: If you are redeeming the discount instore at Ampol Foodary (I.e. you show the QR code to the attendant for them to scan), you should be fine to use it with AmpolCash. There is nothing in the Ampol Energy offer terms that mentions AmpolCash as an exclusion.
If you are redeeming the offer through FuelPay on the Ampol app, you cannot use AmpolCash as a payment method, because AmpolCash is not accepted through FuelPay.

Yes, in the shopback app there is an arrow icon in the top right corner of the Ampol gift card, click that, then click on the copy link icon, paste the link into Safari and now you have an Add option. job done

Doesn't work. You'll need the PassWallet app shown on the ShopBack page after you purchase the gift card.
@chinaman: No biggie. It's just another app. The attendant just scans the QR code and that's it. Then hit OK on the keypad. Balance will be displayed on the app after a while.

stramge in VIC you can stack RACV with Woolworths and then pay with this GC at EG Ampol. That would be 5c + 4c + 12c = 21c/L discount, assuming 91 ULP at $2.00 /L

EG Ampol is owned and operated by EG Group, a British-based multinational company. EG has a fuel supply agreement with Ampol, which is the reason EG service stations are co-branded with Ampol (and EG is therefore a franchisee of Ampol). Nearly all EG Ampol service stations were previously operated by the Caltex Woolworths joint venture, before being re-branded to Woolworths Petrol in 2015 and then eventually being sold to EG Group in 2018.
The only fuel discount offer accepted at both EG Ampol and participating Ampol Foodary service stations is the Woolworths fuel voucher. This is largely a hangover of the days where the Caltex Woolworths joint venture had both Woolworths-owned service stations and Caltex- (now Ampol-) owned service stations. Other fuel discount offers across the Ampol network (e.g. My NRMA, RACV, Toyota, Origin, Hyundai, Rest Super) are where each of these brands only have engaged with either Ampol or EG to negotiate the deal, so the discount therefore only works at either Ampol Foodary or EG Ampol service stations.
My local ampol only have truck hi flow diesel which is 3 or 4 cents cheaper than premium diesel.
But if not a truck they force to prepaid prepaid before allowing car to fill in. Their excuse is car easier to steal fuel.
They purposely not setting a pump for car to fuel regular diesel.

Anyone else having trouble using the digital card? I'm definitely using it at locations which accept AmpolCash digital (even signs at the counter saying so) and have tried multiple locations, only attempting to purchase Unleaded 91.
The message I've been getting is "Prod 13 not allowed"
I have never run into issues like that when redeeming AmpolCash gift cards (physical or digital) when purchasing fuel.
My suggestion would be to contact the AmpolCash team (I would suggest phoning them, but you can email them too if you prefer) and get them to see whether they can see what the issue is from their end. I wonder whether there is an issue with your gift card in particular.
Yeah I've contacted Ampol, currently awaiting their response.
So an update:
Customer service for both Ampol and Shopback have done absolutely nothing BUT I tried an a non-EG Ampol and it worked.
Anyone else experienced the same?
Two more questions I have just thought of:
Have you asked EG whether they can explain the reason for the gift card being declined across multiple transactions? There is a chance that EG themselves (i.e. the merchant) rejected the gift card, rather than Ampol (i.e. the card issuer). EG is a separate company to Ampol (i.e. EG is an Ampol franchisee), so it may be worth asking EG too.
Did you have anything scanned in the transactions at EG? For example, did you scan an Everyday Rewards card? Did you scan another fuel discount offer (e.g. RACV, Rest Super, Origin Energy)? If you scanned something else each time, I wonder whether that could have triggered the error message.
If you were wondering, I used an AmpolCash gift card last week at EG Ampol when purchasing U91 and had no issues redeeming the gift card (and I scanned an Everyday Rewards card, a paper Woolworths fuel voucher and an Origin Energy fuel voucher).
When asked at the actual petrol station, one guy said not valid for 91ULP and another guy had no clue.
I had Everyday Rewards and RACV both scanned in. I'm thinking that might have been the reason? Although there is nothing saying you can't combine these offers.
