I think this might work

Try this for odour removal instead. Reviews
Never used it it before the Nilodor, is it that effective?
how to use on soundhole in guitar? swab on cottton tip then ….?
I would probably first try and clean the guitar first rather than applying nilodor on it in case it changes it's color or appearance.
Some people may not like the smell of nilodor itself, but it's otherwise very useful for getting rid of bad smells like dead vermin or cig smoke (e.g from rooms, cars and furniture). Note that it's very potent and you should really only use a tiny amount.
by clean you mean use deterregent or water warm on guitar and wash it?

so Daddario lemon oil or Dunliip?
thanks
@ilove: I believe the oils are just for conditioning the wood of the guitar. The actual cleaning solution should either be just water or very mild soap.
Cigarette residue is the source of the bad smell, so you'll have to find some kind of mild detergent that's capable of removing that but also gentle enough that it won't wreck the material you're cleaning.
I think I'm in a minority in that I LOVE the smell of Nilodor. No idea why, but have done since I was a kid!
It's a carpet cleaner. Use at your own risk on anything else, ie maybe not the safest option for a guitar.
