Do we have any educated collective opinion on this product fellow ozbargainers?.

    • +1

Might be okay for kids once it is pitch black outside. Could be a bit of fun on a warm enough night. Assuming it even works properly.

Which means not applicable in Melbourne :-)

my first thought is i wonder how much latency in audio there will be with that bluetooth speaker + projector setup.

    • It appears that it actually does project a 1080p image.

      expressing opinion = downvotes 😂🤣

      • +3

        Expressing dumb opinion = downvotes.

        • -2

We are from all walks of life here. Some of us are brilliant and some of us are absolute dumb f@$ks.

I don't want to arbitrate the spectrum between those 2. You may have extreme introverts here that are neurodivergent. I can see a scenario where more unusual ideas and comments are downvoted to oblivion, potentially contributing to people sharing their opinions less. Good or bad. The same as mine or different. After a decade and a half that's the version of ozbargain I personally like, one that's inclusive. Not one that's had someone accused of a dumb opinion when it was really in no way a dumb opinion. I mean it IS Full HD and they ARE selling it off season.

@seamonkey: While I appreciate the sentiment, the purpose of the downvote is to communicate to the community that an opinion being expressed is not constructive or helpful. That is the case here.

There are a lot of people around here who love to get off on spec sheets and pay no attention to whether or not a product is actually useful and capable of doing the job it's bought for. Those people show up in a LOT of threads, and you see a lot of newbies genuinely taking their comments seriously. They're not contributing to the discourse, they're just here to shit on stuff they don't think has high enough numbers in the boxes they've chosen to care about. If we don't either downvote or reply to those comments, we're doing the community a disservice. Attempting to enter into a constructive discourse with spec-sheet-lovers hasn't proven productive in the past, and I think many of us have had that experience. So now we downvote them and move on.

Everyone's free to have an opinion, and everyone's free to disagree with yours, mine, or OPs.

@Joker042: Your answer is outstanding and I really respect it. Very little you say there that I can disagree with, except perhaps "the purpose of the downvote is to communicate to the community that an opinion being expressed is not constructive or helpful.". 99% if the comments I make in this forum are lame jokes, Dad jokes, ozbargain memes, et al.

I have barely written a constructive or helpful comment in 15 years.

Genuinely enjoyed discussing it and sincerely wish you a superb evening. I'm snippy because it was a shit Monday. Know those weeks where every single appliance, showerhead, car electrics, schedules are all colliding/failing at once? That's my today. 😂🤣

              • @seamonkey: Mate, tomorrow will be better and it's only 4 days till the weekend :)

                Have a good one.

                • @Joker042: you forgot about the sickie. Urghh I didn't. You too mate. 🙂

  • "acceptable brightness" it is.

Optimal Screen Size: Aim for a screen size between 80" and 100" for suitable image quality and acceptable brightness.

Ideal Lighting Conditions: Create a dark environment with minimal ambient lighting, which includes house lights, streetlights, or even moonlight, for the best viewing experience.

    • +5

Do you have to destroy the moon in order to use this product?

      • +1

Ask Gru. It already told you in the product picture

    • Basically host your next lost viewing party in a *checks notes * - dank af cave

  • +1

I think this may only be good for kids' movie night

    • +1

Kids: dad, can we just watch bluey on the new 85 inch 85A7G in the lounge like a normal family… we’re cold.. and I think the neighbours kid has been taken away by a pack of wolves…

  • is it ok to connect PS5 to it? Would the refresh rate be reasonable?

  • Got one of these, well blaupunkt one and very similar. It works OK. Need to be very dark to view. The screen is quite large so make sure tie it down and not too windy. Fan quite noisy for screen. Good this come.with soundbar. Can also view movie from backside but obviously mirrored. But it does work if having lot of people watching on larger open areas.

  • Serious question, is it actually worthwhile having an outdoor cinema - doesn't the light from the projector just summons every insect within a 30 mile radius to rock on up for a free movie?
