EOFY Business Laptop Deal Recommendation - Budget $2000

Hi all, looking to buy a laptop for business for occasional remote work.

Don't game, but do stream movie when on the road. Looking for good screen, lightweight, good battery and good support.

Even better if it's a deal from Perth. TIA

Every single notebook on the market arguably is light weight with a good screen, battery and manufacturer support. Please at least include some details. Like OS, screen size, price (per @Baysew) typical application usage, brands you dislike, etc.

    • I'm leaning towards lenovo or Dell, but I used to always just buy consumer grade and thought it's time for a better change. Window would be more familiar with me, 15" above.. Mainly just anydesk work and browsing..

    Macbook

    • This, buy a 13" or 15" MacBook Air, i'd say go 16GB of ram at a minimum, storage as needed, and then get on with your work. Laptops are tools and the MacBook is one of the few laptops I can use where I forget I'm using a laptop with its quirks, and focus on my work.

      • I'm not in the apple ecosystem.. Easy to use macbook still?

        • If you're unfamiliar with MacOS I'd recommend against switching from Windows unless you are happy to deal with a little frustration while you get used to the new environment. Neither OS is all-round better. Recommend spending some time trying one out in the Apple store of you're considering the Mac.

    popular in enterprise, reasonably priced

  • What spec would beconsidered as good screen for 1080p movie? Also, which processor worth paying for? Probably the two most important thing to me

Also, worth going to 32gb to future proof it little? I hate lags that's for sure

  • Currently laptop shopping, this seems to be a value leader currently (Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i) - https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-pro-series/yoga-pro-7i-gen-9-(14-inch-intel)/83e2cto1wwau1

    • Thanks, but I probably just stick to ThinkPad series for durability

  • On the topic of thinkpad, should I go for Intel or amd? Any series particularly better for travel?
