The missus says it's is too small for her.
    I hear that a lot.

    • +8

You'll probably also hear "It's run out of battery again" too! ;-)

      • -1

given that this is mini , so it has shorter battery life ??

        • -2

          @CptnObvious

she probably forgot to turn it on…

I hear these significantly grow onto the user following 4-play with FaceTime

The missus says it's is too small for her.
      I hear that a lot.

she should try the black one

    • -2

I keep telling her that 5.4 inches is average but she doesn't believe me.

    • same. Too small, too quick. The way the battery runs out of course

  • I think the mini is the cheapest iphone that has support for the Ultrawide band chip.

Important if you want to track an airtag to something better than 10 meters. But I'd still pony up the extra hundred bucks for something in better condition and twice the storage

    • This or iphone 11

      • 11

      • If you're comparing this to a bigger phone, you don't need this.

iPhone 12 Mini 4 year old phone you can get android phones cheaper then this with much better specs brand new

As a iphone fanboy, i agree with this statement. Battery on the 12 series is dogsh!ṯ. Especially on the 12 mini which already had poor battery at release, imagine that plus a deteriorated battery, running a modern.

I use a pixel 7 pro and s23 ultra along my iphone 14, and you can get way better phones for this price.

Pretty sure these are just used phones being sold as refurb

      • Why three phones

        • I use my iPhone for daily tasks, s23 ultra as a hotspot, and burner number, pixel 7 pro is rooted for enthusiast tasks

      • +1

Another iPhone fanboy, my iPhone 12 mini is at 83% battery life and it's awful. I'm so over trying to coax it to last a day, but it's otherwise a perfect fine phone.

I'm thinking I might get a 13 pro from this sale, I don't really need better hardware (camera will be nice) and hopefully between the tax writeoff and flipping the 12 mini the cost will be worth it just to keep my sanity.

    • Yeah are they this small though?

  • -2

Expensive for a used 6+ years iPhone.

    • +2

not quite 6 years but still a pretty bad phone

  • +6

the only bad thing about it is the battery, definitely not for everyone , or even most people, but it is an absolute gem for me.
as a site worker, weight and size matters so much, more than often i keep the pro/pro max in my car or on a table, and when i need it on the spot, i don't have it. so there is the size and weight reason why this one works fantastically for me, and still with all the nice features (not like SE iphone).

ppl saying it is old, but i am watching all my colleagues with the android phone from the same year change to newer phones(Z fold, Z flip), I still feel like after all the years, the mini feels the same as day one i got it, no lag, for daily task perfect fine.

Again, knowing your needs, budget, is really the key. not denying one phone/brand blindly.

Agree. People that want a small, phone get either this or the 13 mini. I have had the 12 mini, and currently the 13 mini.
Honestly, for some reason feel butt hurt that apple made a small phone. It’s battery life is way better than the old iPhones or android machines, before they went big.

      • How would you compare the 12 mini with the 13?
I love my 12 mini but eventually if I need an upgrade wonder if the 13 mini would make much difference

        • +1

I wouldn’t bother if you don’t need to update. I only did because the 12 mini was a work phone and I changed jobs so got a private phone as I was sick of the profile work imposed.
It is the same form factor of course, which is what matters for these iPhones.
It seems snappier, the camera is definitely better, and of course there is bit more battery at the end of the day.

How long until this phone is bricked by Apple with 'not compatible with xyz APP after updating?

  • +1

    Is refurb, is good!
    No, it's not a dart.

I got my Dad an Apple iPhone 7 from these guys on a sale for $139.00 about a month ago. He said it's near new. The only thing is it came with a dodgie charger. But for that price he can use the old charger. It was in Adelaide in about 2 days. I'd buy from them again
