bought a similar brown leather Tiding brand bag in the past and it has held up really well over last 2 years, though i didnt use it much because I didnt really like flipping over the big flap on the top of it to access documents… so been rocking a cheaper flip top lately which made me really dislike flip over tops, and so now im after quality and ease of access and here we are.. normally these bags sell for around $180 maybe?.. so not too bad of a deal. im going with black this time to not stand out too much.

with Tiding bags ive read in comments that their brown leather, leather, tends to be thicker than their black leather, be aware.. the brown leather bags more rigid and the black leather abit thinner softer leather etc.. let me know if i'm wrong about that

there is another more fashionable style on sale, but my work requires speed so i'm going for this more functional design with more zippers at the sides for faster access. not a massive fan of flipping over flaps to access documents, though it may offer more protection from rain. But if you dont mind flaps, here it is:

  Obligatory comment that "genuine leather" probably does not mean what you think it means.

  From Wikipedia:

  The term "genuine leather" does not describe a specific grade. The term often indicates split leather that has been extensively processed,[12] and some sources describe it as synonymous with bicast leather,[13] or made from multiple splits glued together and coated.[14][15]

  TL;DR "genuine leather" may be made of left-overs from quality leather production, glued together. It may be coated with polyurethane. You really have no way to know.

      Agree, some so called "leather" belts listed on here have cardboard in the centre.

      The labelling of products and what producers get away with needs a massive overhaul.
      On food labels I want to know where stuff going into my body has come from, but in Australia they can just put on the label crap like-

      "Packed in Australia from less than 10% Australian ingredients"

      They must know where they other 90% has come from so why are they allowed to exclude it?
      It's DISINFORMATION approved by government to protect their corporate donors.

  sent cancellation for it after realizing i didnt really need it.. however they ignored the cancelation request and it arrived today.. so far its pretty good.. feels pretty good premium leather.. quality seems good.. time can only tell if its durable.. but pretty happy with it so far. the leather doesnt feel thin at all.. feels medium thickness on a scale of thin-medium-thick. dont regret receiving it at all for the price seems it was worth it.

  update: measured the thickness of the black leather.. its 2mm thick.. actually now i look close the actual leather thats smooth that is the top layer seems like 1mm think and under that is black threads 1mm thick.. i can tear out the little 2mm long threads with my nails.. interesting.. not sure if thats good or not.. this might not be a good thing.. but the actual 1m outer layer of leather actually feels good

  so to sum up… it feels good, looks good… and pretty spacious… the shoulder strap, carry handles, zippers all feel good.. overall its good.. just gotta see if the durability is good

  if anyone else gets there's, let me know what you think. overall im happy with it..

  the 1mm thick leather has different backing around the bag.. some places like the shoulder strap have different thick materials behind it etc.. anways its all good

  so far i love this bag!!! so spacious and easy to access documents because of the zippers, was worth it for the sale price. dont regret buying it.
