Is it Global version or Chinese?

    • +2

in the description, it shows the country of origin as India, so I assume this will be the global version?

    • +1

The 12R only has one version, the China 12R equivalent is called the Ace 3. The 12 has China/India and Global versions though

  • +1

theres no option for 16G/256G, you choose from 12G/256G or 16G/512G.

also by choosing 16G/512G it locks to OnePlus 12, not 12R.

in the description, it shows the country of origin as India, so I assume this will be the global version.

I didn't bother checking network band, as I don't intend to buy it (at least yet)

hope someone can spend his time doing that, thanks.

    • +1

16/256g only comes in Blue and Black, maybe you didn't select the right colour

      • +1

Yeah you don't have to select the options in order. First select the 12R model then the other options.

  • +5

Just a warning, the eBay sellers description is the specs for the 12 and not the 12R.

The 12R has a much more humble camera setup (no telephoto) and a 8G2.

Once I select the color, storage, etc, the price jumps to $1,285.00. How do you get it down to $779.20?

    • +1

select the 12R first from the last drop down, then work your way back up, choose colour last.

      • +2

        Thanks. That worked.

      • Talk about being user friendly ey

  • Any idea which version the 12 is? In the comments the 12r was delivered from India. The Indian (and Chinese) version 12 doesn't have esim

    • +1

not sure, I've asked the seller, have to wait and see

  • +2

also this phone does not come with the SuperVOOC charger, but another post says this OPPO SuperVOOC charger can be used to achieve the same result, since Oneplus is a subsidiary of OPPO, does anyone have any idea if this works? The charger and charging cable is on sale right now:

    • +4

l have got the Oppo Find N3 and Realme GT Neo 2, both can be charged at the maximum 65W using the charger that comes with my older Oneplus 9 Pro, so to answer your question, yes, they are indeed cross-compatible.

    • Any idea on the spec for that beauty ? Wondering if I can use it to power a type C laptop I have ?

      • I believe they have different variations, but the one I got for free when I purchased OnePlus 12 is 100W

      • +1

It will work at slow speed. Supervooc only charges at full speed on Oppo and OnePlus.

  • +1

Does it have VOLTE on Telstra???

    • +1

My OnePlus 12 global version does.

  • +1

How's warranty? No warranty not worth the risk yeah? Seems unreliable seller from how vague the phone description is?

    • +1

Even "Modal" spelling is wrong for the last drop down menu to select the model 😅

  • +1

I still don't get why they don't retail here.
Same issue as Poco though, the bands are limited.

    • +15

Same as Honor, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, they don't sell flagship phones here, which sucks as the market share for android phones is mostly Samsung. More competition is better. We are all to blame for going Apple or Samsung and top tier phones. Mid tier is enough for a work phone.

      • +1

Oppo sold the N3 here (briefly) and the Find X8 is coming to global markets so should return to Australia. We got the previous Find X models.

        • did we have the x6 and x7? i thought only x5 Lite

          • @Bearlion: X6 and X7 were China only. Every other Find X before that was released in Australia and outside China.

I had an Aussie Find X5 Pro.

      • you can buy google pixel 7a or 8a , always on sale. most likely you can get around 500. Good enough for work phone and also come with very good camera .

    • I remember Poco being sold at JB Hi Fi but it stopped selling that brand now :(

      • curious to know when that happened. Have never seen a poco phone in any Australian retailer store.

        • I think 3yrs ago. My dad has a Poco M4 Pro 5G and he doesn't remember where he bought it but it's either from Optus or Vodafone

    • There has been a patent issue with oppo and Nokia that was only resolved this year.

  • Does it have a band 28?

  • Poco f6 pro was on special for $600. Compared it closely to the Pixel 8 pro for $920.
Couldn't justify the extra 50%, so ordered the Poco. Only disadvantage I can see is no telephoto, but other advantages.

This deal seems pretty good too.

The Pocos usually have a multitude of Custom Roms. Am using Crdroid Android 14 on a Poco F3, all good and doesn't slow with age (planned obsolescence) like iphones. But it had snapdragon 870 that doesn't do 3g …

Will likely stay on hyperos for the new machine for now at least.

    • Did the F6 finally add eSIM?

      • No

        • Lol guess I'll wait and see for the F7 then.

          • @johnjones8: Fair enough. Suppose it would eliminate 5mm of plastic.

            • @trevor99: Haha mainly wanted to be able to take advantage of eSIM deals for travel. Also using a F3 on a custom rom and battery is still OK so mainly convincing myself not to upgrade yet.

For anyone who is still interested, the seller replied regarding global vs Chinese model, make of it what you will.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and showing an interest in our product.

This is an overseas model, and we are unable to provide you with the exact model/region/version as we import mixed models from different countries. However, in all cases we have confirmed that they will work on all Australian/New Zealand networks.

This device also comes with a 12-month seller warranty. If you have any issues, you can contact us and we will take the necessary step required for a warranty claim so you can buy without concern. For overseas models, we usually send free AU-style converters to allow you to charge the device out of the box without the need for anything extra.

  • +3

I have this phone and absolutely love it. Such great value for money, came with a 100W charger and cable in the box too.

    • Does VoLTE and vowifi work? And does it have esim?

      • +1

I feel stupid saying this, but I didn't even know what VoLTE was until your comment (sent me on a Googling rabbit hole).

But my taskbar does say VOLTE and I was able to get the wifi calling symbol as well so I think we're good.

        • Thanks mate, appreciate that! When 3g shuts down (very shortly) if a phone doesn't support volte in aus it will become a very expensive brick.

    • Did you buy from this seller? If not, can you DM me with where you got it from? Thanks.

  • Only showing me $974 in Australian dollars ?

    • Apply the coupon code PLUSF22

      • Tried both codes … cannot apply to my order.
        What am I doung wrong?

  • Does the call app support call recording?

  • It doesn't appear to have eSIM support?

    • +1

      no it doesn't support eSIM

      • But it has dual Sim slot, right?

  • Did anyone buy from here? did it come with a charger?

i thinking of getting the oneplus 12 512gb 16gb ram model - with the codeNONFY20 , it becomes 1,316.00 to $1,052.80 which sounds too good to be true

    • I asked the same question regarding charger, below is the reply from the seller, doesn't instil a lot of confidence since they don't know their products very well.

      Hi there,

I hope you are doing great.

We are sorry to confirm you at the moment as it is a brand new device and it will come with all accessories provided by the supplier.

It is requested to see the unboxing video of this device.

      Thank you for your understanding.

    • It came to me today with European charger without the AU converter. Moreover the charger is a bit weird in the way that you need a flat converter as it can't fit into a standard round European socket. and of course in my local JB Hi-Fi there is no such converter (all available have the round socket)

I sent a message to them regarding the converter, waiting for reply.

  • a lot of comments but has anyone ordered and received this phone? is it all fine? It seems like some people are saying there could be issues with the supplier

  • Going by the specs of both models the 12R does not come with 512GB storage, eBay has 256gb and 512gb. If you choose the 512 you "should" be safe

I received my 12R today, It comes with a case, Screen protector is installed on phone. It has charging brick but its European.

  • +1

The seller seems very vague about the model number and whether this is the Global version.
I've requested that my order be cancelled unless the seller can verify by end of today that they will be sending me the global version (Model number CPH2581) as I require the e-sim function.
Will advise the outcome as I receive further updates.

    • +1

Further update - Seller advised that order has been shipped. Sent a further message advising to cancel the order as they have chosen to ignore my previous messages. Also advised that I will have no choice but to leave negative feedback unless this can be resolved.

      • +2

Further update - Seller has agreed to a full refund as long as I do not open the box or break the seal when I receive the item. A return label will be sent to me to start the process for a full refund.

    • +1

I just received the Oneplus 12 phone and the model is CPH2573 (India). And there was no converter to AU power plug supplied

What are the limitations of that phone as overall it feels good ?

  • +1

Model CPH2573 (OnePlus 12 India version) received this morning. Will be returning for a full refund.

    • How quick do they usually respond to your messages?

      • Not very quickly, sometimes requires sending a follow up message the next day

    • Return label received this afternoon, and phone posted for return shortly after. Full refund pending.

  • Other than e sim compatibility. Are there any other differences between CPH 2573 (India) and global version
