    Great price

I quite like buying wines from CellarOne. I bought the 2019 Higher Earth a couple of years ago at 30.67 per bottle, and it drinks well. Bear in mind the Higher Earth is a cool climate shiraz, so it's lighter than a Barossa shiraz.

The Leasingham Provis Shiraz looks good as well https://cellarone.com.au/collections/promotions/products/lea…

Also bear in mind that Cellar One is owned by Accolade wines, not a small family owned company. Good deals though. But personally if I want to buy a doz cheap daily drinkers (approx $10-15ea), I would rather buy from Bec Hardy.

    • Hardy is family owned but probably not considered small?

      • Bec Hardy is family owned and I would consider them small. I did see some of their wine at Costco the other day though!

Hardys is different and I believe they sold out a while ago

        • Yeah Cellar One is Accolade Wines which is what Hardy has turned into. Accolade are ostensibly based in the Barossa while Bec Hardy are McLaren Vale.

Thanks @PCHammond - you're right, Bec Hardy Wines is a small/medium sized family business fully owned and operated by Bec, myself and a small team of around ten including a Two Hat restaurant.

The family lost control of Hardy's in the early 90s following the collapse of the State Bank of South Australia. It is currently owned by Accolade Wines which in turn is owned by the US Equity firm Carlyle Group based in Washington DC.

Yes, we do supply Costco in Australia and the US and, hopefully, Taiwan and Japan coming very soon. Cheers! RD :-)

  • thanks, ive had a few decent St Hallet drops before. Worth a shot.

  • No deal
    I only drink Grange

it's over Anakin I have Higher Earth!

    • Extra concerning, given an anagram of "Saint Hallett Syrah" is:

      Sith: a natural style.

  • I see $38.60 in any six at Dan's (WA)

    • Are you sure that's the 2021 vintage? This is the 2021 listing I found https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_390222/st-hallett-h…

Either way, still cheaper through Cellar One

Might be 2018. Anyway, the $38.60 price looks to be clearance only available in a few stores.

        edit:
And yes great price at Cellar One. Had some cellar dollars to spare, so got them for $19/bottle. Thanks for the post OP.

Higher Earth Syrah 2021 for $23.20 a bottle is great!!

  • Bought these Hallett Higher Earth Shiraz (Syrah).
I have to admit that, at this price, it’s one of the better Shiraz wines I’ve tried. Full, silky, smooth, no adverse tannins or acid. A real cracker of a wine, with plenty of taste.
Bought some more, but the above code wasn’t working.
Oh well, don’t care, it’s not often you find a gem like this
