Makita PV301DZ CXT 12V Max Brushless Sander Polisher Skin $200 (Was $319) Delivered / C&C @ C&L Tool Centre

30

Good saving on this tool if you are into the Makita CXT 12V system.

It says price was $319 but they generally sell for around $290 to $299 most places.

I previously had the Milwaukee M12 equivalent before I swapped to Makita. But when Makita released this, it came in at $130 more than the Milwaukee!!! I couldn't justify buying it that price, but when I saw this deal I jumped on it.

Definitely a bit of a niche tool, but these are really handy to have as they are fantastic for sanding/surface conditioning smaller pieces, plus you can use them as a detail polisher on paint work. Great for motorcycles too.

For metal, I like using the 50mm Roloc surface conditioning discs as well as the 50mm Roloc flap discs.

Also please note, this is tool only and it is NOT compatible with Makita's 18v batteries.

  • Thoughts on using it as a polisher for car

    • It only uses 75mm polishing pads. It really is too small to do large areas. Its more for smaller surfaces and places you can't get to with a standard 125mm polisher.

But I guess if you have plenty of time and patience it could be done, lol.

      • Pointed lol will look for something bigger

        • If you have the batteries, Ryobi have an 18v 125mm random orbital polisher.

If you want corded there are plenty options at many different price points Just search random orbital polisher or dual action polisher.

  • Wow at that size it's called buying a drill attachment.

No need for a dedicated tool for it…

    • Drills don't spin at 9500rpm though. :)
