I got 4 tyres from Tyresales.com.au and the installer were Mobiletyreshop. They came to my work place and change and balanced my wheels in our work parking lot. Saved me so much time.

Ps. i've got piano black painted rims so I was worried about how they took off the lug nuts and not to chip it.

Btw, mobile tyre shop services dont have wheel alignment (as the machine is not portable) so you end up having to schedule a wheel alignment elsewhere anyway.

I ended up buying from Tyroola and using Tyroola-appointed service centre.

Unless your tyres are showing signs of uneven wear a wheel alignment is not necessary. It's just an easy upsell for them.

I had not done wheel alignment since I bought the car in 2017. So i just did it last month with all four tyres replaced just to be safe.

Depending on where/how you drive getting an alignment can prevent uneven wear. Once you notice uneven wear its likely past the point of no return and your tyres have already had their life significantly shortened.

If you drive rough potholed roads, smash over speed humps with gay abandon, or have kerbed your tyres, getting a wheel alignment is a reasonable 'upsell' to take up.

Is wheel alignment still recommended when installed fresh tyres?

        • i would think so.

i grew up knowing that rule.

unless of course if you only need replacement of 1-2 out of 4 tyres then a wheel alignment is questionable

They'll be fine, tyre machines are super simple and effective. It's pretty hard to actually screw anything up
