My 12 week mark from my first statement is a month or so from now so there will be plenty of people who will hit their 12 week mark before I do.

No it's the 1st time for this Offer for them both. For all 4 of us actually. No cards between the 4 of us have been cancelled.
I think virgin issues them in batches. As a few people reported getting them on Aug 8th. And My 2 friends got them on October 2nd (with different spend met dates)

There's up to 65k worth of points arranged by Virgin Money and 30k of points from Velocity Australia… depending on which of these points is being referred to, it'll determine the organization to contact.
I filed a compliant to velocity membership team because the 30k bonus promotion is from them.
So they come back to me and said the 10-12 weeks actually start from the date I received the 2nd 30k bonus from virgin money card instead of the date of 1st 30k.
So basically date of 2nd card statement+ 10-12 weeks

@kokoikaka: If this has proven anything is that 5 of us ask them the same thing we get 5 different answers. As a Plat Velocity member this is not good enough but what else do I expect from them.
AFF forums took a member 7 HUCA attempts until he got someone who understood what he was trying to do for an instance.
I'm fairly sure you aren't even required to earn the second 30k to be eligible for the extra 30k.

@PadreOzv: The base point. I received my base point on 13th August. I wonder if they are really making us wait that 12 weeks before getting the points.
@Pecco: No, I closed it because I have recieved 90k in total. 30k each month for 2 months, and extra 30k for "February campaign".
@nightelves: I don't remember seeing a campaign in Feb this year.

Got the same story, told to wait 60 days after the second 30k is credited for some reason. Definitely not right, but no other option I guess.
I finally received my bonus points today, here was my timeline:
13/7/24 - first 30k received
13/8/24 - second 30k received
23/9/24 - complaint raised with velocity (gold member) asking where my points were. They asked a couple of questions to determine eligibility etc…said they'd respond within 2 business days
4/10/24 - heard nothing complained again
10/10/24 - bonus 30k received as "DE30KBPJUN"
Card kept open whole time.
Dam someone mentioned on here that closing the card was fine. I might have to check with them now.

Mine hasn't arrived, applied for mine a few hours before the deadline. But has anyone who's cancelled their card with Virgin Money been able to get their annual fee refunded or pro-rated?
Just received my third statement. Here's a history of my points from the Velocity Flyer card:
13/08/2024 - received first statement incl 30k bonus velocity points as a separate entry on my Velocity activity named 'FLYER 60K OFFER' in addition to the points earned from spending
13/09/2024 - received second statement incl 30k bonus velocity points as a separate entry on my Velocity activity named 'FLYER 60K OFFER' in addition to the points earned from spending
on a date after 13/09/2024 - called Virgin Money asking when the 5k bonus points they offered me will be credited. They advised it would be in my next statement's points
on a date after 13/09/2024 - called Velocity to ask when the extra 30k bonus velocity points will be credited. They advised it will be credited 10-12 weeks after my first bonus points is given to me. This would be between 22/10 and 5/11.
13/10/2024 - received third statement. The statement itself didn't include the 5k bonus points offered by Virgin Money but the amount credited in Velocity included the extra 5k points. No sign of the 30k bonus velocity points but wasn't expecting it.
I have the exact same dates as you. I've received 2x30k points, but no 30k bonus points for signing up.
Edit: just found out they've credited me only 5k points from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/803147 . I'll have to start writing all of these down now.
Mine followed a similar timeline but still yet yet received the 30k Velocity bonus.
First 2 statements and 2 x 30k points received on 27/7 and then 27/8, but no Velocity bonus included on the 3rd statement (27/9) even though card still kept open. Will wait till 19/10 (ie. 12 weeks after first bonus credit) then call Velocity.
I'd personally give them a call now (or message in chat to have in writing) regarding the 10-12 week thing and also if you still get the points if you need to cancel the card.
A little nudge can potentially save on extra waiting time.

Just got my 30k bonus points. Seemed like contacting velocity sped things up
12 June: Applied and approved
13 July and 13 August: points received
5 Oct: 12 weeks was up
7 Oct: Emailed Velocity who asked for the above dates and whether or not I had contacted Virgin Money. I said no, because it was my understanding the promotion was from them.
9 Oct: VFF said wait 12 weeks from when points were received, and I replied saying it has been 12 weeks.
10 Oct: VFF said they will check with the relevant team if they can credit the points. It will take 3-5 days.
The wait continues.
Expect them come back and say wait 12 weeks from 13 August lol

It's interesting the VFF agent I spoke to also interpreted the 10-12 week to begin from the 2nd statement date. Like many here, I've assumed VFF to begin counting from the 1st statement date. The the paragraph in the T&C on 30,000 is a bit ambiguous " …. The 30,000 bonus points will be allocated to your Velocity account … blah blah … 10-12 weeks after you meet the minimum spend criteria for the eligible offer associated with the individual card"
You're considered 'met requirement' after spending $1500 and received (the first) 30k points from the credit card issuer or after spending $3000 and received the second 30k points. Which interpretation?
I would love to know the answer to this, as I made the spend in the first month and got 30K on but for the second month I fell just short… so wondering if I would still get the bonus or not :(
@Moo Deng: You met the minimum spend for the offer did you not?
Offer: Spend $1.5k to get 30k each month for two months.
The MINIMUM spend to get that offer is $1.5k, not $3k. By the same token, the 12 weeks should commence after the first month.
If their intention was otherwise, they should update their T&Cs for next time. Until then, you absolutely should get your bonus 30k and I'd be taking it further if they credit it.

17/10 - Virgin Money 5k points for sending in the docs (after I did call them on 20/9 to ask where they were, and they "manually" processed them)
If it's 12 weeks from when you meet the min spend, I should expect the points no later than 9/11, as it's 12 weeks from the min spend criteria met on 17/8.

Closed my Westpac platinum in September.
So you do get the points even if your card is closed.

Just got my 30k bonus points for Virgin Velocity Flyer. My card was still open. Have since closed the card (no luck with $74 annual fee refund).
Here is my timeline for those interested:
12/06/24: Applied and approved for the Virgin Velocity Flyer
13/07/24: 30k points - Flyer 60K offer
13/08/24: 30k points - Flyer 60K offer
21/10/24: Logged into Velocity website and initiated a chat with service representative regarding points not received. I noted that I met the spend requirement on 13/07/24. Rep said he will follow up with relevant team. This wasn't the first time I've tried following them up though.
24/10/24: 30k points - DE 30K Bonus Points June Campaign.
I previously received the DE 30K Bonus Points on 07/12/23 from the promotion late in 2023.
For those still waiting, I'd suggest contacting Velocity via chat and letting them know you hit the spend requirement during the first month. Therefore the 10-12 weeks has elapsed.
Yeah, my 10 weeks has passed and no 30k points. The last velocity rep I spoke to told me to contact them at the 10 week mark so I better do what I'm told - lol

I got a $49.xx pro-rata refund from Virgin Money for the annual fee after complaining that the terms changed from when I signed up (44 days interest free rather than 55).
I'm trying the same with an ANZ Qantas card, but so far they are saying no because I signed up with a bonus points promotion.
Got my 30k points after requesting an investigation through the Velocity live chat.
Timeline:
24/06 - Application approved for Virgin Money Flyer
24/07 - 1st statement received but 30k points didn't make it to my Velocity account due to error match with my Velocity account. Had to wait for next statement.
26/08 - 2nd statement and received 60k credit card bonus points
Based on 12 weeks from my 1st statement my 30k points should have came by 16/10.
18/10 - requested investigation live chat said it will take up to 5 business days for outcome.
28/10 - received email saying they've just gave me the 30k points. Shown as 'DE 30k Bonus Points June Campaign'
Does anyone know if the live chat option is currently enabled for Velocity?
I've logged in on 3 different browsers and the live chat bubble isn't showing.

Yeah, adblockers and noscript were all turned off on the page.
Velocity's requirement for live chat is that one has to be logged in and the live chat bubble is showing… the latter giving them full control over when we can use it.
I just kept refreshing the browers and it's finally popped up on all browsers.
