Should be a decent game.
I reviewed the Built-in Astro bot game on PS5 - Astro's Playroom - and gave it 10/10

I will wait price to be dropped until 10-20 bucks

No offense to Astro as I love the little guy but yeah, this game is probably not worth that $89 RRP.

      • +2

Maybe, but in the ~3.5 years I've had this console I think I've bought and played….. Three PS5 games on it?

I'm hungry over here boss, and this was about the only thing from the State of Play that interested me (And about the only thing on PS5 this gen that I've actually been this excited for)

When Sony starts spoiling us for choice like on Steam or Switch then I'll probably start being a little more frugal.

Same price at Big W - doesn't even release for another 3 months. Hold your cash.

Also I fully endorse the youtube channel and what you do - I do not agree with posting bad deals just so you can plug your link.

Conversations belong in forums good sir. This section is for bargains.

      • Should post it on OZPreOrderGame.com.au

    • Amazon pre-orders don't take money until they ship and if the price drops randomly for an hour one afternoon you're also locked in for the cheapest historical price between your pre-order and launch. If you don't want the game, then cancel the pre-order before it comes out. There's really no risk.

Anyway launch pricing is too much for me. Will wait for a sale lol

    • Is it the best price for the item available? If yes then it belongs here… there will be some people wanting to purchase or pre order as cheap as possible. A good or bad deal can be subjective based on what you're prepared to pay for a product.

    • Well given it’s listed on the digital store for $109 I was glad to see this post. Not that I’d ever pay that anyway. But this from Big W minus 10% for Extra and minus 4% for a gift card and I’ll probably preorder this.

I used my Everyday Extra perk code at Big W, brought it down to $80.10
    Happy enough with that.

  • I'm sure this will be great, I platinum'd / 100%'d The Playroom, The Playroom VR, the built in PS5 one who's name escapes me, all of them except the only one that cost money. Maybe they should have tried dropping this at like 20/30 bucks, since every PS5 owner already has a free Astro game as is.

Might bite when it's 10. Might just play the free DLC for the first one that dropped the other day instead.

    • I feel very differently. It was my first PS5 experience after getting excited and spending $750 (rather than me seeing it as "free") at launch, and it immediately sold me on the whole concept of the Dual Sense and what it could enable. It's also one of the few PS5 experiences I've had so far that I feel will stick with me forever (the other being Returnal). So I'm ready to pay a fair bit for what's supposed to be a proper full game, not just a few hours worth of very memorable platforming

  • Playroom was hard. For me anyway. I really hate jumping in third person games. I can never gauge platforms right.

Great mechanics for a freebie though. I need to finish it. Music was good too.

  • Is this different to rescue mission

    • Yeah this is a new game. Basically a bigger version of Astro's Playroom

      • I know about the playroom and this one, but what is rescue mission?

        • +1

          PSVR exclusive from 2018

  • +1

Getting it day one to support the developers since Playstation seems to no longer want Japanese developers under their brand.
(Look no further than the closure of Japan Studio for evidence of that)

As well as Astro's Playroom was really fun for a tech demo that went way beyond than it needed to be.

A missed opportunity to make this also a PSVR2 compatible OR semi/exclusive game - to sell that system

  • Also good price on Rise of the Ronin on Amazon - $79

  • I know it's a bit of an old post but $80.10 from Big W if you apply the everyday extra 10% off coupon. Free delivery too.
