Apparently the demo version was heaps of fun. Everyone is super excited for the launch of the full game 😊

      What a burn!

I played and got all the achievements and it was pretty boring.

It was OK for 'free' as part of Game Pass. I would have felt ripped off if I paid money for it.

Honest question from someone who doesn't have the time to play games much and I yearn for years gone by. How come you chose to continue playing all the way to full completion, when it was boring?

        • If you don't say you played a game all the way through, it opens up a whole other can of worms. Best to just cover all bases!

        • A few possibilities

Achievements. In game things you have to do to show you are a very dedicated player. Steam badges are notorious for keeping me playing way past the completion of a game's storyline.

          Bragging rights?

A game can be boring (in this case it was laborious to me) but for the sake of the story…have to muster through it.

          • @hippo2s: If you 1000/1000 a game then you love it idc

          • +1

@hippo2s: Fair, good reasoning. It's just a game that appeals to me, but I get like max an hour or two a week rn, so have to be picky.

@cc23: I would recommend Cyberpunk 2077. Much easier to pick up/put down. There's so much content to play thru, story line to follow and just free exploration.

Definitely stay away from Starfield. In an hour sitting you don't get thru much.

              • +1

@hippo2s: Yeah, I started Cyberpunk at launch and need to get back to it.

                • +2

@cc23: If you haven't played in the last 6 months definitely worthwhile going thru again. Deliberately use a different build so it's not same-ol-same-ol. If you need to spend money then the expansion is well worth it.

                  • +1

@hippo2s: I'm the antithesis of OzB now to be honest, spend loads of money on gaming stuff, just never get the time to use it.

Ok I'll get back to Cyberpunk, thank you sir.

                    • @cc23: You're welcome….this game (Starfield) isn't worth $30 so nvm the 173 for this limited edition. (There's a good reason they still have leftovers, right).

Unless they fix up a lot of things…

        • I think I may have OCPD and I really hate it when there are games that I have played where the achievements are incomplete.

I often won't start a game if I know that I won't be able to get all the achievements.

It's a personal thing. The game was boring, but easy, and I think the achievements is the meta game I play. It's not for bragging as no one else cares

  • Also comes with a cute box

    • +3

      The box is also haunted

      • +4

        That's bad.

      • +1

Is the box also incomplete and makes you go thru loading screens?

    • That's good.

  • +4

    Landfill.

Take the $173 and get yourself 8 months of Game Pass.

Didn't love it, didn't hate. It feels empty and very dated. Even though I'm a Fallout mega fan, the same could be said there, it just doesn't have the flavour or flair that FO does. The ship building was really the only interesting thing for me.

    • Yep just a whole of empty space, in outer space.

They could have done a really interesting story, but then it goes all multiverse on you… so over it.

  • Whoa, wasn’t this like $500 at launch and sold out? Or was that a different version? I wouldn’t mind it for the watch and case.

  • +2

$173 with no full-game physical disc?

This should be called a ’consolation edition’

    • No, but you get an empty display box!

    • I would pay 30 bucks if they released the art book as a proper hardcover one. Not this digital pdf of an artbook

  • The game itself I didn't mind… with some mods to skip over the tedium (loading screens mostly).

    Is that watch still broken?

  • One of these watches recently sold on ebay for $200, so this could be a good deal if you flip the watch, keep the game and get a small profit.

  • I believe also gives you both the Xbox and windows versions of software.
